I'm a big Guyker tuner fan. They never let me down. Great video brother, thanks for sharing.

Yea, the hold a real high standard. In my oppinion they absolutly are on par with Gotoh and can even rival Grover! Thanks for dropping by brother!

I’ve been using them for the last couple of years on many different guitars, they’re great quality and value
@TheworldofMattias4 ай бұрын
Yes, I´m surprised of the quality of the tuners. They definitly are a big step up from what you get stock on some cheap guitars. A great way to upgrade your guitar!

What is is exactly tho that makes people say Gotoh or Hipshot are better than Guyker? I've got a Floyd Rose guitar so the locking tuners are mostly just for changing strings easily but it makes me think if I didn't have a double locking trem but I should at least go with Hipshot?
@KarlSheridan2 ай бұрын
@ basically it’s all down to personal preference, but I’ve used the so-called high end locking tuners and find Guyker to be just as good if not better

@@KarlSheridan Thank you, awesome. I've got my Guyker locking tuners waiting for me at the mail tomorrow, I ordered the full silver color. At least there 90 day return policy.

@@KarlSheridan So I right here with the guyker tuners, wish I could share a picture but they like 3 little spikes so the peg doesn't sit completely flush on the wood and they dent the wood just ever so slightly, not sure if there's any concern for that. Once again I'm talking about the part resembling a male gentelia lol going into the wood hole, around the base of it are 3 small spikes.

I got a set for Christmas and getting the string to not slip required extreme tightening of the locking screw. I’ll put it this way, they ain’t Schallers. They also don’t cost $170.

I've used Guyker tuners on a few low-budget guitar builds for friends. I've installed the locking 6 in-line and the locking 3x3 types. They work OK. For ~$US30.00 a set, they are much better than the stock Chinese ones that come on a lot of guitars. I always encourage folks to spend another $30-$40 more for Grovers or Klusons, but everyone has their individual budgets and goals.
@TheworldofMattias4 ай бұрын
Hi Bob, actually I think that these tuners can rival some Grover tuners (I´m only speaking for the ones I got) I was really impressed with the feel of the tuners. They had a nice resistance and the accuracy was on point. All in all, a real good tuner for the money you pay for it!

@TheworldofMattias Maybe "OK" was too weak a description. Perhaps I should have said, "They work well."

Does the jump cut at 1:39 after saying you hope there is instant effect when changing the direction of the spin mean they did not do what you were hoping?
@TheworldofMattias4 ай бұрын
No, I meant that they do exactly that, there is no slack and that is very important on a precition part like a tuner.

Have you used the ones for LP guitars
@TheworldofMattias4 ай бұрын
No, I haven´t. I would like to test the vintage set (Kluson style) They look grat and if they hold the same quality as the once I tested they would be a great substitute for Grover or Kluson.

I bought a set of 3x3 like these for my Grote. One tuner was basically non-functional: turning it felt like turning a tight tap. There was a nasty crunchy sound. Three other tuners were barely functional. Only 2 were acceptable (though far from excellent). I complained and got sent only 1 replacement (for the one that didn’t work at all). It arrived and was only as good as the 3 poor tuners. I greased the tuners and over time they have become barely acceptable (although no better in function than the cheap and nasty ones that came stock). Some of you will have a good experience with Guyker, I’m sure. But bear in mind you could just as easily share my very poor experience. My summary: don’t waste your time and money: Guyker produces something that could be utter garbage for all you know. There are other brands with a better reputation and reliability. I wouldn’t risk Guyker products ever again.

Thank you for your comment. It sounds like you got a real bad set. In my mind that is not OK. I can´t speak for what you got or what your expectations was but the ones I tested were all OK, and accually more than OK, they were great. If there is a difference that comes down to quality control I really hope and think that that is sorted out by now. Thanks for stopping by!

@@TheworldofMattias I got mine less than a year ago at the recommendation of my guitar tech. He installed mine and agreed mine were rubbish. Caveat emptor: if it happened to me, there’s zero reason to think it won’t happen to one of your viewers. Indeed, I found a number in the reviews that said similar things but chose to ignore them as “the typical few inevitable bad reviews”. For frame of reference, I am not the type to leave negative feedback. The comments of mine here are the only exception. I didn’t even bother to leave feedback on AliExpress in this instance. But I follow your channel and thought some honest feedback would be useful. I definitely would not risk another Guyker set. It’s all great when others report excellent gear but it means nothing when I get a set that is practically unusable. As I say, I bought the relevant grease and sprayed it into the tuners so that they kind of work. But the original cheap stock ones were slightly smoother. I would have swapped them back except one fell apart when my tech changed them over.

It´s good that you are honest, the complete picture is always the best. My experiance is that Guyker deliveres great stuff, but I can only speak for what I´ve got. Of course there can be instances when you get rubbish, that can happen to the best of suppliers. But that´s when a good customer support is important.
