I highly recommend for people who like having fixture drivers versus having multi-screwdrivers if you take weras Multi-Bit rap adapter multi-bit raptor screwdriver with bit storage and then purchase their longer bits with a quarter inch hex that's made for the other screwdriver. I don't remember the numbers and they're at work right now so I can't check. I put those in the front of your wrap adapter and you can. I just have the flathead and the Phillips in my bag and I can change those out and then I can also extend the wrap adapter to get an even longer screwdriver and it doesn't have the disadvantage of being that bulky tip. And then if you need something different than those two standard ones or whatever you choose to carry with you, you open up the back and then you have all the normal small quarter inch bits

I turned this bag into a compact torch kit bag. The front holds a mapp/pro and oxygen tank perfectly.

A hollow shaft 11/32 is surprisingly useful with motors. Especially condenser fan motors, those little nuts that hold the studs on residential condenser fan motors are 11/32, its much easier to remove them with the nut driver than a wrench especially when the studs are rusted. Its also useful on the electrical terminals inside larger motors.

Put a magnet where the Tape measure could go, and you have a place to hold all of the units screws so they can't "Run" away and disappear...

The only recommendation I have is swap the hose out for a small tackle box for wire nuts, 5&3 ampfuses, Zip screws, self tappers, spade connectors, valve cores etc. I was able to find a bass pro shop one that fit perfectly.

Vero bags, especially the belt clip ons are an essential as a service tech, absolutely recommend this for new techs insted of buying a big ass backpack, especially when you're starting out as a service tech
@frederickdebian3704 ай бұрын
I found I prefer the MC for service. It's not really any bigger or heavier than these open-style TP series or this one he showed, but it has two sides (for hand tools and meters) that both close with a zipper for a cleaner setup with nothing falling out and no fear of tipping. I had the TP3 but it became too small for a service bag, and I often needed to go grab my big backpack for other tools. Now that I can carry a few more things with the MC, I never need to go for my big backpack besides for big jobs
@HVACRTECH-833 ай бұрын
@frederickdebian370 I agree, I started with the mb3 for a service bag, then that got to be too small,went with the tpxd blackout, liked that for a while then turned that into my refrigeration bag with all my probes,ect. Now I use the mct for service and tech pac mc for installs. The old mb3 I store my megger, fp dual port Mano and a fluke psychrometer (dont buy btw) and infrared cam. I gave my first ever veto (mb) to my girl so she could have her own tb to keep in her vehicle, I guess the point is, yes I only like the bags that close up too and you may think you got the perfect size bag rite now, but always end up needing bigger, that is unless the person doesn't do much work😂

Nice loadout; I really like this one too for computer-related work. You have some outside pockets available; for you I would add a magnetic pickup for dropped screws, a small inspection mirror for looking under boards or into other tight spaces, and a Sofirn IF23 or IF24 flashlight.

The 11/32 is for power venters and some exhaust fan motors use 11/32 as well, why? Who the heck knows, but those are the only things I've come across with that size,even comercial exhaust fans. Maybe electricians see that size more than us but I'm glad they included it I've used it many times already in the couple years I've had that multi nut driver. The days of carrying 8 nut drivers are long gone

I wish there was a short tool bag. All the bags I see are so tall. I know that sounds weird but in my work truck a shorter tool bag would work great. I could modify the shelf where I keep my bag but that’s just too extreme, I’d rather find one that fits my needs. Ole Veto doesn’t have one nor any of the other manufacturers. I think I’ll make my own with leather.

Man zac youre lucky to have got your fp crt's back when you did. I ordered 2 of the dual valve ones back in early march of this year, no word on if they will even ever come in. Pretty nuts as like you im a huge fp guy,been using them for close to 20 years and this has never happened with any product release. Im a bit takin back about it because fp wont even give any info to anyone about what happened. How do you like yours? Are they as good as the appions? I have 6 of those,the best ive ever used,but really want the 2 valve ones

Your preaching to the crowd that uses sblds Here. I use mine as a quick bag as well and it's much more crowded than yours. I applaud you you keeping it so light. You know you can combine both of thoes multi bit screwdrivers to make a super screwdriver? Thr surge is long in the tooth but thru haven't made a replacement for it yet and mine is just out of warranty at 5+ years. I'm also surprised to not see a magnetic bowl holstery magnet on the clip for holding your screws. They even make magnetic hooks that are super strong too you can put on the side of a air handler then hang the bags from that. I fit a surge plus a simple small milwaukee auto ranging meter in the back pocket of mine with a coil brush and other goodies as well there's more room than you think. Over at Morgan's maintenance we are experimenting with ways to add magnetic mats and parts trays to our sblds through the fabric or on the outside. That channel is a great resource for sbld loadouts and ideas. Thanks for the video good stuff!

I will be entering the trade in a few months and was wondering how important it is to have metric socket sizes? I know Klein makes a metric version of the 7in1 nut driver and was wondering if it’s worth picking up?
@user-uo3yu4sj9n3 ай бұрын
It’s not that common at all. But if you want Home Depot sells a silicone makita socket set in both metic and standard and it’s An amazing set for what we do that will fit in a lot of tool bags
