These older games bring back some memories. I have ALWAYS been a Green Bay Packers fan my entire life, but there was a time when they stunk! I also love watching other games, other teams, players, and seeing other 🏟Stadiums🏟, and jerseys. The AFC especially since we mainly got NFC games unless we were playing an AFC team. The 80's weren't really great for Green Bay, but I enjoyed all of the NFL! The Jets were one of those other teams I enjoyed watching. So seeing them now, epic!

At 1:04:35 when Jets QB Ken O'Brien was shaken up after being hit by Patriots LB Andre Tippett, many Jets players and fans said it was a 'blatant cheap shot' that eventually led him to leaving the game with a concussion at the start of the 2nd half and changed the game entirely with the Jets unable to get the high flying offense going in the AFC Wild-Card game against New England.
@TheMt45 Жыл бұрын
The next week Tippet pulled Marc Wilson's legs out from under him well after the pass was thrown. The Pats D definitely played dirty, but of course, that was a tool you could get away with back then.
@conlanding Жыл бұрын
@@TheMt45 Also on the play when Ken O'Brien got hurt by that Andre Tippett hit, he looked like he didn't want to leave the game. But it was 4th down and O'Brien said the day after the game when asked about "why" he didn't want to leave the game after taking that hit, he thought it was "only" 3rd down when it actually was 4th down and the punting unit came out.

Pretty scary stuff. Football will never be safe but when you watch some of these old games, the hits, and some guys staying in after these hits, I'm glad the game is at least a little safer now. At some point in this game, Irving Fryar gets hurt, and Marv Albert casually says later, "Fryar was shaken up after he fell on his head on that previous play but he's fine". @@conlanding

Love the mod Rashad's game but as a commentator I'm glad he went to basketball if he thinks the Irving fryar and Stanley Morgan are a less talented receiving Duo than Dupernd Clayton and Miami he's not been watching. Morgan Fryar had Grogan andEason at QB Duper/Clayton had Marino That says it all. Morgan Fryar had about. 170 less pass attempts than Miami's and without theQB many people consider the greatest passer of all time
