Hell... I don't know what a patch is and now I want an instance of Falcon. I Love your enthusiasm and appreciate the countless hours you put into your quality material. As a long time S1 user who spends a lot of money with PreSonus and relies on artists like you help me understand this stuff , it is disappointing PreSonus has not been more engaged. Years ago I chose not to go down the "most popular" DAW route because I really appreciated the technology and the nascent but emerging grassroots community of S1 artists, producers and trainers. IMHO, PreSonus benefits immensely from content producers like you. I understand that a CE company can't practically engage with everyone but I know it's got to sting. So thanks for not taking your frustration with them out on your fans. Keep up that great nerdy enthusiasiam...it is appreciated by many. now where did I put that voltage to switch trigger cable.....

The way i use Falcon is by not leaving the edit page unless I have to. (a combination of the browser and the edit page actually) Literally everything can be done from the Edit page. Want to add an effect? drag it from the FX browser to the edit page. Want to mod something? drag it from the Mod browser onto the edit page. Want to add an event? drag it from the Events browser to the Edit page (preferably at the Programs level). At the bottom is where all the LFOs and Envelopes show. You can drag existing LFOs from there to modulate multiple parameters with 1 LFO

@esotericyetti3274 жыл бұрын
I wish more virtual instrument companies would adopt falcon as their go-to. Falcon loads large libraries in a fraction of the time required by Kontact. Not only is library load time considerably less, the compression they use to pull it off leaves samples sounding quite superior to that which you hear in Kontakt. Furthermore, If one so desired they could produce an entire track with little more than a single instance of Falcon. Given the obvious superiority of Falcon, I seriously wonder why it hasn't replaced Kontakt as the industry standard.

Quanta, I wonder if the Falcon support MPE? If so, reach out to Roli to demonstrate it with the Falcon.

Actually, yeah it does support MPE. But, I'm kinda old-school and whenever I'm settled in one location - and have the cash - I'm just going to get a proper, traditional keyboard and really working on my playing skills. The Falcon just begs to be played by a skilled keyboardist! Haha.

You've saved me hundreds of hours. I was ready to take my production game up a serious notch and looking at inevitable cost to do so. Please tell me... are you happy using Falcon with Studio One? (That's how I first ran into your channel). Also, I am most interested in the controller(s) you have found to be most useful in this, your new situation. Best Regards, Kelly
@quantaaudio4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm definitely happy using Falcon in Studio One. I also like to experiment with it in the stand-alone mode outside of a DAW. Right now I'm using the Presonus Atom controller but it is not really the best to use for a synth because it doesn't have any keys - only pads. Hope to get a proper keyboard soon! Glad you've found the tutorials helpful and I hope to get some more Falcon tuts up this week. Thanks for your support of the channel!

Do you still use Falcon these days?
@quantaaudio2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm... I hate to answer this question. Haha. Unfortunately, I do not. I have to say, it is one of the best-sounding synths/workstations I have ever heard, and it's capabilities are endless. But, programming sounds on it with my 14" laptop screen is a bit rough. And applying modulations/various routings is a bit convoluted. I want to (still) love Falcon, but I'm not quite sure what my future is with this instrument.

When doing experiments and sound design can you show how you would go out or in your home record found sounds This way your creating your own sample libraries Like recording breaking glass from different bottles And then maybe take that audio sample add some low end like synth to the bass frequencies to give it weight and maybe add some harmonic partials to higher frequencies of the glass to bring out those higher shattering pieces I am myself am new at sound design But have different ideas that once I understand more can really experiment God Bless and teaching Sir
