I think her research successfully brings Ben home. Then Ben realizes how much he loves her, so he finds a way to leap back as himself to be with her.

Hannah being Sam sounds interesting, although it seems unlikely. 1) Sam began leaping as himself since the "Mirror Image" episode, and he did it twice: upon arrival (in the mining town on Sam's birth date) and then, when he talked to Beth (in 1969, moments after "M.I.A." episode had ended). 2) He was never found/ never came back home after that. This means both: that Ziggy/Gooshie/Al couldn't track him at all, and that no one ever showed up in the Waiting Room (no leapee whose body could have been inhabited by Sam during the leap). So he continued leaping as himself, just like he did in "Mirror Image" twice... If Sam appears in the 2022 series, it's plausible to say we will see him as himself. And that would be awesome.

Ben's selfless mission cries for the reward of a true love that he can physically connect with. As happy as I am for him, they've met at two six year intervals, so if the third comes in another six years, will that make her another "evil leaper"? I know she's actually living through time physically and not leaping her consciousness into other hosts, but this may still be hinting a future hazard (Addison hides her jealousy well BTW...)

I like the impossible girl theory the best. Hannah is definitely not Sam Becket inside. That would be too strange.

I feel like Hannah either developed the Quantum Leap project or she's Sam Beckett. I'm leaning towards she's Sam because the way she acts and speaks it seems like she knows Ben's a leaper. I'm hoping they do come across Sam Beckett and manage to bring him home as that would be a great ending to the series. What Addison said to Ian in the recent episode 5 giving him courage by saying she knows Ian will be able to bring Ben home, I bet Ian will find a way. He's already been up against a rogue Ziggy. He personally mapped out an algorithm to help Ben when Ziggy went offline. Just seems like the point of the show was to create a conclusion to the Quantum Leap story started years ago. Seems like hollywood is running out of original ideas, so they're going back to old ideas and the easiest idea is a show or movie without a closure. Sam never accomplished his goal of returning home, so maybe the point of this show is to finish that story by having Ben leap around to find him and bring him home. Why else would Al's daughter be involved since she was in love with Sam? Oh, Addison will die. Not a good reason to sneak around and talk Ben into leaping. Especially when in this season Addison has moved on and married another. So the point of the show isn't to "save Addison from dying". There's another reason.

i like this theory. The ratings are weak so I doubt there will be a season 3. Bringing Sam home has to happen in the last two episodes.

Hanna couldn't be Sam for the simple fact that leapers keep their original appearance when viewed by other leapers and the people that act as holograms. That's how Ben and his crew knew when the other leaper was in the same timeline as Ben during season 1.

She can't be Sam, because Sam doesn't need to jump into anyone body any more to leap. He is leaping with his own body. Since the last season of his ended.

Sam always physically leaped with his own body. In Mirror Image he did not leap into anyone's life, and was at the bar as himself, which is why there was no one in the waiting room.

Interesting! These theories seem to ignore Sam’s Quantum Leap episodes, as the new series goes forward with Ben. Why? Sam’s last episode concluded with him discovering how to control his time traveling powers. Given Sam’s last episode, it is reasonable to assume that Ben is consoling his leaps.

I was thinking that 1. She is definitely connect to the quantum leap program somehow 2. Her and Ben meet up again and Allisons new husband is their son and he chose the military as a way to keep the tradition going or something (I cant remember if he mentions his parents or not but he does favor Ben physically)

Hannah is not Sam's daughter. She was born around 1925. If she were Ben's daughter she would look Asian and, since they have kissed each other romantically, that would be slightly incestuous.

@@gr8hax HIs aura is around Ben. And, yes, Ben is in the host body so Hannah would be the host's child but that isn't what you stated. You stated she was Ben's daughter. Ben would have been in a host body when having non-consensual sex with Hannah's mother. Therefore, Hannah would be that host's child. If, somehow, she were Ben's biological child, even if Ben is using the host's body to kiss her, it would still be incestuous because he is the biological father. Either way there is a lot of weird things going on in that scenario.

@@gr8hax Anything is possible, I suppose, but I doubt that is where the showrunners are going. They stated in an interview not too long ago that they had read a lot of the fan theories and none were correct as to where they were actually headed. I have seen a lot of people posit that Sam is Hannah's father so, if the showrunners are reading what the fans are saying, we can conclude that the Sam is Hannah's father theory is incorrect. Same with the Ben is Hannah's father theory. I don't know why she needs to be related to either one of them.

To Fallow Up here in the original show Ziggy had a female voice and a clear personality. In this updated continuation the show has forgotten this fact,? This why I think Ziggy is reasserting itself.

Sam had a thing with recurring character that was a 3 episode arc on the original and he Fathered her child. This could be something similar Ben and Hannah get together. She has his kid, nd his kid works for the QL project in the future like Sam's supposedly did.

That was Abigail in the Trilogy. Ben and Hannah can't have a child because Ben is literally in other people's bodies so it would not be his biological child and there is that annoying consent issue.
