All the bond films serve their purpose I don’t know why Quantum gets hate as I actually really like it yeah it isn’t as good as Casino but Quantum serves as bonds rage and anger after vesper died as through the film he simply doesn’t care who he kills as it’s only way to cope with her death doing what he does best but obviously at the end he simply just has to get over it which in the long term he does but vesper will always be on bonds mind it isn’t until no time to die that he finally lets go off vesper I seriously don’t understand why people hate the whole vesper love storyline as I think it gives bond some depth and shows that he’s clearly a person with feelings even that of love and not some emotionless killing machine although he is when he has to but still

Aside from that, mixed feelings on the fight between Bond and Greene itself. That's the point - he isn't a better fighter. He isn't a fighter. But Bond keeps having random explosions to deal with, while a person who is swinging can be dangerous even to a professional fighter. There are couple of seconds where they fight on more equal playing field and Bond demolishes him.

In a film that I positively dislike, that has to be one of the best moments. That’s what I find frustrating, these incredible moments buried in bad editing, poor storytelling and a generally dull film. Craig is absolutely phenomenal in this one, but he couldn’t save it for me personally. This moment is particularly reminiscent of Bond’s thoughts in the Live and Let Die novel, where he decides before the boat starts towing them through the water that if he can’t get both him and Solitaire free from the rope as they’re dragged along the reef, he’ll intentionally drown her to spare her the worse fate of being eaten alive by sharks. He’s given up nearly all hope, so he puts all his thought into sparing his companion from a horrifying death.

@Maria Kelly of the Daniel Craig Era... And yes it's supposed to... But Bond had 0 personality here. Or you count a bull as character. He looks dead inside. The movie is tasteless, the camera work is bad. And it starts by a car chase, how? At the end of Casino Royale, he shot the guy peacefully in a lake house, suddenly he's chased by dudes in FWD Alfa Romeo that somehow can keep up no problem with a DBS... On dirt ok, but on road? And trying to relate to his love for Vesper at the end just ruins the love he had, and made him cold yet fun and sarcastic. Casino Royale was supposed to be James Bond before THE James Bond everyone knows. So ok, but this one, he should have started to be more James Bond. Yet he felt like a Machine.

@@splintergectornathan9045 playing dead inside, and acting like a cow isn't the same thing. A tough guy falling in love worked in the Casino Royale. And yes this movie was badly written, badly directed. Action scenes made no sense. The story of the making of this mess of a movie is more interesting than the movie itself. It's the only recent Bond movie that has a story most people can't recall enough to explain. As for being broken by Vesper's death... They pulled that string to the last movie. BTW, in the last movies, as much I don't like Madeleine Swann character's, or Lea Seydoux in that role (I think she's a bad actress in English) Craig managed to be violent but with emotions, yet delivering fun Bond/British humor. Okay, who thought building a hotel out of explosives was a good idea
@Eierfeile2 ай бұрын
I think the action scenes need more cuts. I can still almost see what's going on and we can't have that, no?

Halle Berry, Rosamund Pike and Olga Kurylenko ironically all starred in Bond spoofs because their actual Bond film was too bad! Halle Berry was in Kingsman 2 and Rosamund Pike and Olga Kurylenko were in Johnny English 2 and 3😅

Craig's bond girls always know how to put up a fight. Vesper, camille, madiline, moneypenny are awesome!!

Vesper? You sure about that?

I don't think so. He lost one or two in every one of his movies save for maybe Spectre.

I just realized that Greene is the only main villain of the Craig era who fights Bond directly.

What about Silva?
@TheRealShiaLabeouf3 жыл бұрын
@@samuelmajka4804 Silva didn't fought bond hand to hand like this the closet they got was at the island but they didn't actually fought and in the hearing with m but again didn't actually fought the only villian who fought bond hand to hand was Greene

It’s funny because Greene is the least physically imposing villain in the Craig era. Bond should’ve fought Silva or Le Chiffre in my opinion.
@01l219-m3 жыл бұрын
@Qasim Hussain Silva was a former Mi6 agent and would’ve had the same training as bond so I think it would’ve been cool if they fought. As for Le Chiffre , he wasn’t an agent or anything but he’s still a big imposing guy so despite him not being a match for bond he could’ve still put up a fight like Greene.

@Qasim Hussain Bond should have fought with General Medrano from quantum of solace
@OZBarStories4 жыл бұрын
Yes. There’s a lot of cuts. That is the entire point. Quantum is chaotic after Casino Royale. He is on a murderous rampage of revenge after Vesper. This chaos helps him build to be the incredible finished polished bond we see in Skyfall at the end, he’s turned into a killer, then a lover, then back to a killer this time with finesse and power.
