This was one of the best opening scenes in not just a Bond movie but any action film. I enjoyed Specter. It isn't anywhere near as abysmal as some are trying to claim. Roger Moore and Connery produced several ghastly films between them that were incredibly bad to the point You had to wonder if Parody was the true intent of them. Specter may not have been as seamless as Skyfall but overall it checked off a lot of boxes and kept you in suspense right up until the end. Out of the 5 movies Craig participated in 4 were very entertaining work with 3 of them( Casino Royal, Skyfall and No Time to Die)being downright brilliant. Craig brought a Soul to Bond and portrayed him with a substance and depth that neither Connery, Moore and the Wooden Brosnan were capable of doing. Craig will certainly be missed because he raises the bar considerably.

@ghost.patrols3 жыл бұрын
I agree that Spectre isn’t nearly as bad as some people will tell you. However, it’s pretty weak when compared to Skyfall and I think the fact that it didn’t live up to its predecessor really skewed a lot of people’s view on it.
@elysium5403 жыл бұрын
Spectre is a great movie with fantastic locations, good pacing and a well written story. Skyfall was so overhyped that most fans didn't gave Spectre a chance at all. Casino Royale is still the best one with Craig though...
@chorlauheung49204 жыл бұрын
The opening sequence in Spectre is a culmination of several, similar scenes from previous Bond films. There is the Dia De Los Muertos scene which resembles the Mardi Gras scene in "Live and Let Die." The rooftop sniper scene is reminiscent of the sniper scene where Timothy Dalton's Bond attempts to assassinate Sanchez in "Licence to Kill." And, finally, the helicopter fight sequence has elements of Roger Moore's Bond in "For Your Eyes Only," during which he battles to gain control of the aerial vehicle as piloted by Blofeld.

Depends. The reason behind the decision was that cinemas in major markets like China, Japan, and South Korea fully shut down. If that is not the case in November they might as well release the movie. I love how the Mexican theme converts seamlessly into bond’s traditional theme as soon as Craig steps out onto the ledge. As he walks confidently towards his target the bond theme expands. What an incredible opening sequence; visual storytelling that transitions into an action sequence whilst reintroducing bond to the audience. Filmmaking to perfection.

@William Guzman first, La llorona is a myth/ urban legend. It's not really a witch and some people claim it was an event that really happened. Again, just stop saying everything is the same. Second, the skulls you see aren't even la llorona 🙄, that's called a catrina, meant to criticize the high society and upper class of the old time as cruel people unti Diego Rivera created a mural popularizing the catrina symbol, a skeleton dressed in fancy clothes. Hence why the scene is filled with people with skulls painted and in black tie attire.

Or perhaps she’s seeking him out. A couple other comments have replies stating that she became la llorona.

Craig: "You know, if those last movies all that jumping, falling, plummeting and slamming into things really hurt." Director: "Ok, we'll have you casually stroll down the roof to your objective." Craig: "Soft parkour. I like it." Also, you know you're in Mexico when the b*tch that wants to bang you calmly says "where are you going?" when you're casually walking out the WINDOW WITH A GUN, rather than "WTF! Why do you have a GUN! and why are you going out the f*CKING window!?!"

4:47 The way he lands on the couch gives me the thought of what it feels like to sit after a long day. 😂

This, the scene with Blofeld in the meeting and the scene with Bautista on the train are my reasons to watch this film.

this was a great opening tracking shot to a film that doesn't get a lot of love as my dad thought it was awesome. it's the last bond film he will ever see but he had seen all of them in its official series.

Bruh this is why I respect Bond so much. He literally just disregards this super hot woman. I know it’s for his mission but he never comes back for her. Man is on a whole other level. Men should aspire to be like him

I don't care what level I am on, and I surely don't want to kill people.

This was a great set piece to an opening of a Bond movie. But the colour used in this scene was not right.

The only unrealistic part is that there aren’t any annoying vloggers in this sequence

In the first scenes it doesn't really look like he wears a second suit below that skeleton suit 😅 but damn it suits Craig so fine!

He wasn’t, the camera focus on the girl just for Craig to make a change of clothes.

the opening in spectre in cime was so shocking...the gunbarrel, then the words appear and you see this movie have supernatural feel, and there comes the day of the dead...and is one of the best 007

I heard the celebrations here were fictitious, but later inspired the real thing.

Dia de los muertos? LMAO that's never been fictitious it's always been celebrated.
@Alkonium4 жыл бұрын
@@MrShroomed Obviously. It was the parade that was fictitious, even if what it was celebrating was real.
I love when he tosses the hat onto the bed... it was probably unintentional but it remind me of Sean Connery’s Bond tossing his hat on the coatrack whenever he went to M’s office

For Daniel Craig, the remit for Spectre was simple. "We wanted to be better than Skyfall," he says. "It is as simple as that. We didn't have a choice; we had to be bigger and better. With Skyfall, we set something a bit more." In the new movie, the world's most famous secret agent is an entirely proactive character, in control of his own destiny. He has a focused mission from the outset and nothing, and no one, is going to stand in his way. Courtesy: The Telegraph Kolkata Sunday 1 November 2015 Vol: XXXIV No: 113.
