Marc Foster probably thought showing the same motion and event with multiple angles and pans would add so much debt, obviously a very Jason Bourne inspired way of shooting but Bourne movies used this editing technique to make people see what Bourne was using, it didn't randomly switch every 0.7 seconds Why having 4 cuts of the moment where Bond and Mitchell fly to the glass roof? I love this underrated movie actually. In my perspective, entire movie messy editing only shows Bond bluntly hurrying for a revenge irrespective of the consequences. His thirst for revenge made himself a blunt instrument as some characters gets killed by him quickly everytime. Action sequences involving him(obviously) were too crisp for viewers to grasp as it is like a rollercoaster ride. Also, he was reckless when he throws fellow agent off the roof after the opera stint, who was later killed by Green's men. He only realises his mistake when Quantum kills agent Fields by drowning her in crude oil. Ofcourse, this doesn't slow him down going for revenge. Editing was messy again when he drops Camille at the station as revenge was still left. And finally, the so called messy editing becomes normal only after he gets to Kabira.

I believe this marks the proper return of Bond using the Walther PPK since Tomorrow Never Dies. Despite Casino Royale marking the reboot in the series with Bond beginning his career as 007, Craig started off using the Walther P99, which Brosnan had been using for most of his films. Though in behind the scenes footage for the CR gunbarrel sequence, Craig's actually holding the PPK.
