@BrianWD755 ай бұрын
typical the thumbnail has nothing to do with the actual build or even the vehicle in a state of its build... how about now you make a video about the vehicle in the thumbnail? thats what i WANTED to see. i saw this build on the owners own channel.

So very true! Although this was a cool build why wouldn’t you show the actual vehicle you built?
@thadthurlow5 ай бұрын
The actual video was made by Roaming Ventures. Check out the videos on their channel. But first, report this video for being misleading. This channel is stolen content.
@BrianWD755 ай бұрын
@@thadthurlow Actually it isnt stolen content. the OP thanked them for the promo in the comments. alos the issue i have is that the OP didnt build the vehicle thats in the Thumbnail either. I did some research on the thumbnail. as it turns out no one has built that Overlander Humvee. its a photo-shopped image of others that are similar. Thats some BS. cant just promote the legit build.. have to puff it up even more with false images... Quantum is very bad about that..

Of course it is. Horrificly AI generated Also wanted to add, something I never understood seeing people built those things. If something is being tested to fit you take it out and do all the more detailed work for the sink etc. outside. Spares you to do unnecessary double touches with cleaning and you just have to fit all the pieces together in the end.

Never again. I spent 3/4 of my career in a 997 or other Humvee. I gasped when I saw the interior. I even had a soldier injure himself inside the ambulance who wasn’t a casualty. @rwhunt995 ай бұрын
The single decker was a mistake by the government (who would have thought). In the design of it, they left off the part in the design, where the roof was supposed to pop up with soft sides as a convertible unit. So we built it and they realized the mistake and so there was only the initial batch that were built. I can't remember the actual number, but it was maybe 500 units or less.

I just watched it. I saw no insulation added. Did they somehow fit AC? If not, HMMWVs were all hot as hell to drive, unless it was cold out, then you froze your ass off. Stock FLAs were prone to roll overs aswell. This thing looks to be even more top hvy. Looks cool, but the things are maintenance nightmares. Be ready to replace the rear hub seals if you use 4wd.

1969- we had Dodge Power Wagons for most heavy vehicles. What was the total cost for the vehicle and renovation? Edit: After many years of tent camping, the only advantage of a motor home would be the convenience. As long as you are on one place, OK, but if you want to go somewhere, you either have to break down the camp or pull a vehicle. Now, in my later years, roughing it is staying in a motel with a B&W TV.
@williamsoileau18025 ай бұрын
I remember the older Dodge ambulances, the Chevrolet CUCVs, TAC wagons, Gamma Goats, M151A2 jeeps and my favorite the M110A2 8in Self Propelled Howitzer. Anyone else remember the standard transmission? These guys did a great job, a roll up tarp added on would've been nice for shade, a weapons rack too. Well done fellas,

one suggestion I have is to get one of those magnetic bug screens, to add to the rear, so that you can have it open but not let the bugs in. It works great. With the velcro it is really low profile and it won't hinder the closure of the doors. I looks amazing, well done !

C'est tout simplement remarquable et belle reconversion d'une ambulance en camping car! Salutations de France.
@cannonfodder48125 ай бұрын
A few problems. HMMWVs are maintenance nightmares. They have a tendency to eat the rear hub seals when ever you put it in 4wd. Unless you like leaking gear oil everywhere keep an eye on those. FLAs are fairly prone to roll overs. With that weight added in the back take it easy in the turns. This thing will need a better fan/AC added. They are extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter. All the door and roof seals like to leak in the rain. Luckily this wont be nearly as bad as a soft top, where even the brand new roofs leaked.
