when I hear about black holes and information loss the information they talk about is always the information existing outside and falling in. But what about if I fall into a huge mass black hole and I write down my experience behind the horizon. What will happen to that information when the black hole evaporates? that information did not exist before I fell through the horizon so it cannot be on the surface.
