It's just amazing the things you can find metal detecting at an early 1900's house. Last week we started at a beautiful home built around 1924 and found some terrific older coins, 20th century silver, and just some awesome relics. Well we try to finish up at this place and the killer finds just keep coming! More silver, more coins, more relics, and even some GOLD! If you live in a part of the country that doesn't have the Colonial age like we do in the northeast, you can still find early 20th century places in Anytown USA and have a blast digging up cool things like this!

sycamore tree were often planted together, representing a husband and wife, at a new house or for a new marriage .. they are very fast growing and commonly mistaken for being much older than they are ... usually they are planted on each side of the entry to a driveway .. Hey Doug, "I'm Free"!!!!.. Some years back my wife and I met John Inman(Mr. Humphries. He was visiting his sister in New Jersey and signing books at the Cherry Hill Mall... I love British Sitcoms! We moved out here to Ferndale,Wa. in 2013 and as you know, our town made National News two days ago with all the flooding, but oar apartment was up the hill from the Nooksac River and escaped the water two blocks below us. Me myself I’m greedy I love finding the old coins. I love silver and copper the best . I carry around a oxygen tank in a backpack and I can only detect about an hour at a time . But at least I get to do it. And I love it my favorite out of all hobby’s. Metal detecting.

3:41 is a common knee buckle design pre revolution. But because of the tine, it's more like a pant buckle. The design was carried forward. Most trousers, especially military, used a buckle at the back after the regency period. Civil war Union uniforms had a rear pant buckle

You know that dime that looked silver but wasn’t with the crescent moon part being dark and the rest a bit shiny… I have a feeling there was another coin pressed up to that shiny part, better go back and check that hole. ⚒

What a huge assortment of finds at this home! I really liked the sterling pendent Doug found, your silver "handle", and of course Rich's gold pen! Nice finds, I have a friend and coworker that's heading down to FLORIDA for bike week. I told him if he goes out on beach to keep a eye out for you his name is Brian. I got out last Sunday dug up a SILVER RING and a Model T valve stem cover. Then I took a sick day this past Wednesday got out and dug up another SILVER RING. 6 - 10 inches of snow for me starting around 5 tonight. 😡

Dougs half silver coin was actually part of a coin spill. The part of the dime that was clean had another coin laying on it. I’ve seen it many times.

The possible reason for the 1965 dime having a clean spot could be that there was another coin with it. I know you recheck your holes but, it's a possibility.
