I LIKE those tires!! Now I want those for our rig. Love the pantry shelves. I like that heater too! We looked at those camp chef stoves. I think they're pretty awesome, but don't feel we have the appropriate space for one in our little rig. Definitely looks like a good sleeping area. And I do like that it can be a lounging area for tv watching. I would have said reading a book, but pretty sure everyone knows that wouldn't probably be something they would see us do LOL. I do like that they have room for a shower inside. Hey I've heard of that toilet brand. Have a friend that does van builds and she had a client that wanted to use that brand. Hmmm nice tent. We're in the market for a tent for when we do overlanding. We want one we can stand up in. That short one we have is a no go. We're too old to get dressed while laying down 😂You know those packrats scared the crud outta me while we were in AZ. I was so worried they would chew up our stuff and cause us a terrible issue. We lose about 5-7 mpg when we tow our 6x10. Think we average 12-14mpg. Obviously, it varies with wind and hills etc. Haha Linda seems super happy. That warmer weather must be setting well with her. Great tour! Thanks to them for letting you do that. Always love to see others builds.

Excellent video! Some thoughts about a tow vehicle for anyone who is looking... the F150 3.5L Ecoboost 4WD is highly recommended. It is amazing how comfortable the truck is and how capable it is for towing. Our experience is 9 years pulling a 30'/8000 lb TT. Gas mileage when pulling it is between 8.5 and 9 mpg. For pulling a 16' cargo trailer type camper on extended trips it would never be working very hard. You could probably expect at least 10 mpg when pulling one. However, when not towing, our highway mileage is 20-22 mpg, which is a huge plus!
@gonagain2 жыл бұрын
That sounds good and it looks like it holds up well too. Thanks for the info.

For mice I don't know if it would work on the road. You can use 50/50 cornstarch and baking soda and put some bacon grease in. It will kill the mice but it won't hurt dogs. That's what I use in my garage.

Hi Rick and Linda. Really enjoy each of your videos. I’m going to do a weird ask here. I have a 77? Eriba Puck that needs a lot of work but there’s no one around here (Eastern Shore of Va) that knows what to do. So, I’m asking if any one of your subscribers would know of someone in my area who does refurbs? I really need to sell the house and hit the road but can’t without my little caravan. I will also get a Springbar tent to give me some extra space. Eventually I’ll be moving into a tiny house (cause I have “stuff”😁) Thanks to anybody who can comment. Sure wish I was in Quartzite or anywhere but here 😎.
@gonagain2 жыл бұрын
Hello Suzanne, what a cute little trailer the Puck is. My first thought is that any trailer shop or vehicle spring service will be able to check the frame for integrity and check the axle for alignment as well as to service the wheel bearings. As for the interior, I'd try to keep it as original as possible. I found this, but I'm sure you've seen it already: crazytroll.no/eriba-puck-classic-and-legendary-touring-caravan/

@@gonagain My area is devoid of good craftsmen - you wouldn’t believe what I’ve gone through with my house. But I will take your advice and go to the only trailer site we have. We have had quite a few people move here from up north so maybe someone is out there. I’ve asked around to the automotive guys who know everyone but so far nada. The RV location north of us has a poor rep so no good there. We’re pretty isolated here and the Puck can’t be towed until new tires put on since the old ones have rotted down due to the constant excessive humidity here. I think the whole carcass needs to be lifted up and put on a new platform. Oh well, we’ll see what the trailer guys say. Thanks for your reply. I really like you and Linda - you’re both so laidback and knowledgeable. Cheers ❤️😎🐈⬛

My 2018 Chevrolet Colorado V6 310 HP with 8 speed transmission crew cab long bed gets me an average 26 hwy no trailer and 15 fully loaded with 12x6 rv cargo trailer. Safety first 55 is the speed limit when pulling a trailer for a reason. Trailer tires are not designed for high speed and even if you upgrade the limit is still 55. I have guys passing me doing 70 and seen two trailer blow a tire and almost hit me. One ended up in a ditch. Highway patrol needs to write more tickets 🎟 because I see it getting worse every day with young drivers. No one seems to care anymore. Good luck, Mike
