Hi. I'm from Belgium (Eurpoe). You inspire me to plan another road trip in the US. The side info you give, is very useful. 5 years ago, I did one from Chicago to Orlando with my family. We had a great time.
@BillGreenAZ3 жыл бұрын
The nice thing, as you can probably tell, are the wide open spaces shown in these videos. I can imagine Belgium is pretty crowded in comparison. Around places like Quartzsite you can camp for free (for 14 days) and be away from people and only have to travel a few kilometers to be in the town and be with thousands of other people. It's the ability to be able to choose so easily that makes me like places like this.

Hi Russ, Happy New Year from a fan in Dallas, TX. I've seen your videos of sites visited in the western and northwestern part of AZ. I was wondering if you have spent any time exploring the eastern and southeastern part of the state? I lived for a time in both Tucson and Sierra Vista in the 80's, and did a bicycle tour of the state, incorporating sites east of Phoenix, in 1990. Names that come to mind are Superior, Strawberry, Globe, Miami, Show Low, Bisbee, Roosevelt Dam, etc. Thanks for the videos of a state I really loved while I was there.

I think the 2022 RTR hosting/gathering location will have the same logistical challenge similar to 2020 RTR location. Prior to year 2020, hiking/walking to RTR gathering location while carrying a camping chair was a short distance walk. However, the new location is 3, 6-7+ miles away. RVer has small vehicle can get there conveniently; even RVer has eBike, getting there might require to use paved roads such as state route 10 or 95. Walking/hiking is not practical. Moving an RV from boondocking location to the RTR location is not convenient because every set up takes time. I think because of location, another helpful option is to provide shuttle buses (fare to be paid per donation from rider). Otherwise, many RVers will be in Quartzsite but not many RVers will be attending.
