The amount of truth in this, learning the NIN opener feels like trying to do quantum physics in your head while holding on for dear life on the roof of a speeding bullet train. Also, random funny side note that made me chuckle, when your reach level 90 on Botanist you get an achievement called "Fear the Reaper", I need them to give RPR a Botanist achievement pun like "99 problems but a bush ain't one" or "I don't want no shrubs" or some other dumb song pun.

I enjoyed rogue then when i unlocked ninja i hated it and never went back lol. I just kept thinking "ugh this looks like it's going to be more complex than I have patience for." So then my lazy self went back to red mage.

@@continuallyblessed44 Yeah, NIN has a litlle bit of BLM syndrome, where it's kinda tedious for like 10-20 levels and then it gets really fun but really hard lol. The rotation is kind of a nightmare to learn, I can't lie but fun job for regular content.

The secret to learning NIN for me was applying the mudras to a 1 2 3 system, I’ve always been really good at memorizing number sequences in games 1 2 is raiton (lightning) 2 1 is katon (fire aoe) 1 2 3 is suiton (hide buff for trick) 3 2 1 is huton (speed buff) 3 1 2 is doton earth puddle) 2 3 is hyosho ranryu (also hyoton but nobody ever used this before kassatsu made it a 1.2k potency murder button)

@@kuronaialtani For me the mudras I can remember, it's just a huge amount of buttons in a very specific order suddenly in the opener and burst phase. Especially playing on controller(I'm on PC but prefer it) it's hard to find a set up that makes it not insanely chaotic.

@@mismismism Oh, absolutely fuck mudras on controller Tried it one time for fun and I wanted to never even attempt it again It's super easy on my end with the numpad so I can literally place them on 1 2 3, but yeah it's still a learning curve to dump everything into 15-20s every 60s and never fall out of that sequence

To be honest, every time the raid wipes at peggy its because half ppl greed and the other half don't. If everyone greeds he can go down easily before he finish the casting for the second Ancient Flare. Still, dying at that part is like a tradition at this point.

Bruh the amount of casualties that are caused by greed on that boss... I always laugh whenever that happens. To think that's an ARR Alliance Raid and still we frequently wipe there compared to whenever I get Stormblood ARs in duty roulettes. All because of greediness.

I actually ran into a few people recently who didn't realize that dying gives you a damage down debuff and when I told them it was worse for their uptime than losing one gcd because of the debuff (which gets worse after the second consecutive death), they been like "...huh. Didn't know. Oh..." People have been hearing 'Greed is good' so much lately that they don't even know the risks apparently. THEY DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE GREEDING! AAAAAAAAAAAA

People also don't seem to understand that when you're greeding... you STILL need to actually dodge the damage. Greeding just means that you are staying in melee range until the last possible millisecond before the server snapshots your position as the AOE expires.

He forgot to mention that Reaper has almost no positionals. You have 2, that you use once every 30sec or every 5 GCDs, or twice every 90 seconds. You always have True North for RPR Positionals XD

Been playing this game a long, long time and one thing I learned really quickly about melee dps. If you are running a dungeon and have a gap closer, save it for when the tank inevitably stops running on each pack. It'll save you mountains of frustration and time.

Gotta love the rear and flank checks. Learning how the heck melee DPS does this was like aaaaaaaaaaa, until learning liberal use of True North, and dancing around the points where the truncated nippled doughnut breaks - strafe here a bit and it's Rear, strafe the other way and it's Flank.

I usually die to just general messing up rather than jumping into AoE's. Though i did do that once in endsinger extreme. It was during 5 heads and high jump just so happened to come off cooldown right as the aoe's went off , i i jumped into danger alive, then immediatly back to safety dead.

Most mobs do not actually have a full circle. They have a 270 degree arc which indicates where the back is. For the most part you don't need to care about positionals when AoEing because no AoE skill has positionals, but most bosses do have that 270degree arc unless design team believes said content is impossible to have uptime in the rear. For example, bosses that are effectively just a wall in front of you.
