Instant paradox also means you can just do 4 F4's prior to refresh (which you could always do) easier (unless you're base sp), meaning you only have to do 2 later. I'm confused why people default to 3 F4's before the first refresh instead of defaulting to 4, which gives you more flexibility later at no cost.

The fourth F4 is riskier depending on the situation. Its all about managing.

Wonder what the BLM scientists will cook up once the expansion drops, looks interesting to me so far

Love these changes.

The removal of sharpcast makes the job a little easier. But managing sharpcast is what separates the good BLMs from the best, IMHO. Now it seems like the hard part is to manage when to deploy Flare Star in the tiny fire phase.

I love the current 6.X Black Mage, so I'm skeptical about these changes - but willing to try. Thank you for the great video! :)

I've never done a standard rotation because I'm a casual with a half-assed rotation, if I keep doing that, and having fun in roulette or MSQ, I'll be happy However, I'm a little worried about these black mage changes because I've tried most jobs, and I really don't like them

Not sure with Paradox changes. Currently is Paradox feels weird in Ice phase, since its GCD spell that doesnt fit well into rotation, but at same it cant be ignored since its potential. Where it shine is prolonging your ice phase during big gaps in fights/extensive movements, where its instant cast comes very handy and it also makes spending your Polygots much easier. And now you'll get three, which makes it even harder to spend in those 15 seconds. Tunderhead is straight stupid change. Most of time, in dungeon or big raids, you are entering fight with full ice stacks(spin4win), means you might not have thunderproc at the beginning of the fight. It can happen, specially in big raids where gaps are much bigger. It can happen in dungeons where tank does big pulls. Having control over your thunderproc with sharpcast is much better. If i need refresh it, i use sharpcast and drop current thunderproc before it expires, so i have another 30 sec before tank finish his pulling. And when pack is nearly dead, i use sharpcast thunderproc again, so i get it ready for the next pull. Its really dumb approach, since ability to change your rotation on fly as situation dictates is one of reasons why is playing BLM so much fun. Having just single "gold" rotation takes that fun away. Good for casual BLMs since they wont have to think about most optimal usage of all cooldowns, but step back for seasoned veterans that enjoys it.
