Most people recommend Discrete Mathematics (you need to know basic algebra first) I've bought books on Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Combinatorics, Probability, Number Theory, Set Theory, and Calculus(Though I don't think there are calculus problems in CP).

what do you mean by updated? by new mathematical concepts? or to learn concepts.? For the former, you don't need much math to solve most cp problems. If you can solve high school olympiad math problems, you can probably do many many co problems. But I assume it is the latter, he has passed up to IMO level as a kid. I don't think there are any online resources that he uses as much as books, math circles, teachers, or just by solving problems. His parents are both professors, so that helps.
