Quebec - Looking for the best things to do in the city? Click play on our travel guide to get an insider’s peek at this Canadian destination.
When ready, browse vacation packages to Quebec: www.expedia.com/Quebec.d18001...
You don’t need to go all the way to France to say “Bonjour” and nibble on croissants. #Quebec maintains strong ties to its French roots, which date back to 1608. The town’s official language is French and it’s even home to a replica of Norte Dame.
While on #vacation here, mosey around the cafes and shops in North America’s oldest retail district, and #visit the Musee de la Civilisation. Embark on a Quebec City #tour around the colonial buildings in Dufferin Terrace, the history at Battlefields Park, and the stunning beauty of Montmorency Falls. From the Saint Lawrence River to Fontaine de Tourny, there are endless attractions to experience in Quebec’s capital city.
When you’re looking to indulge in a little European flair, without leaving North America, explore Quebec City. To further fuel your adventures, check out our travel guide video and pick up more tips and recommendations.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

Someone from the US asked me my nationality. I responded "French Canadian" ....( I prefer Quebecois) He responded "What's a French Canadian?" I said "What do you mean?" He had no idea what I meant. He said are you a French person who moved to Canada?..........i had to explain to him that the Province of Quebec is French. I gave him a condensed quick history lesson. He looked like a deer in the headlights. He had no idea what I was talking about. Very sad.

@@rebeccagraves2878 Well, I always said "Merci " which means Thank you in French. I said Merci after ordering and receiving food at restaurants for example. But majority of people know English in Quebec City, so you will be fine. My mom knows French, so she did a lot of communicating which intrigued people and I think they liked that. But I also know people who have visited Quebec City and don't speak French at all and they still were treated well.

It is a wonderful city with much history, elegance and great cuisine. It helps to speak some French, as English not as widely spoken as in Montreal. The Montmorency Falls and the fjord to the north are worth taking in. In winter, the Winter Carnival with its Ice Bar and Ice Hotel are worth taking in, too. Many Americans do not travel this far Northeast, but it is a great slice of Europe sans the flight. Try to stY in a French inn or boutique hotel, and try to have a meal, drink or high tea at Chateau Frontenac. Just gazing at Rivier St Laurent on a lazy afternoon is magnificent as well. J'aime beaucoups le ville du Quebec!

Whenever I look at things about Montreal it makes me sad that I moved away. I live in Vancouver now and have been since 1982 but it seems I'm finding this place harder to live in. So now I'm thinking about moving back when I retire this May. Lots of nice Condos for a lot less than Vancouver..
