Backstage of Queen's show in California.
This is the first video of the presence of Michael Jackson in backstage at the Queen's show, I know there are many copied and posted on their profiles, but this is the first.
Thanks for watching and comments! :)

There's a lot of people who can't find Michael in the video or made a mistake thinking that the guy who is walking down the hall with Freddie, is Michael. So, to help you I will tell you where's Michael. But first, the guy who is walking down the hall with Freddie is Vic Robinson, who was Freddie's bodyguard at that time. Michael is the guy wearing a blue jacket, at the end of video, the one who shake hands with another guy. ✌

Not only did this guy capture Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson on camera at the same time, but he did it while Journey's Don't Stop Believing was playing in the background. Let that thought sink in.

Epic. Epic. Epic. I had to replay it over and over just to keep seeing Michael. Freddie and Michael were great friends. I love watching archived footage, lost footage, and just good old stuff from back in the day. It seems like the 70's 80's and the 90's were more fun and exciting than the times we are in now. Boring music, boring fashion, no iconic artists hanging out together in such a way that would excite u like seeing queen and mj in the same atmosphere as this. This is what true icon status is. One of the biggest bands of all time along with the greatest entertainer of all time. How great is that? I miss those moments. Artists of today bring some excitement, but not much these days. This was a great little video. Thank u for the images of these legends.🥰😇👑👑

If you were born in the 70's .. We didn't have computers, tablets, cellphone/smartphones or Internet. In fact. At that time we didn't even have Cable Television. There were no television recording devices You could afford yet so if you were going to watch something on television you had better have that ass parked in front of the television or you just missed it!.... Stars today burn out way before their time because of over saturation. You can see them any and all times of the day and night. Real magic is gone now...

There is a Rolling Stone magazine profile from February 1983 where the author interviews Michael Jackson and accompanies him to the Queen concert. This precise scene is described in the article. Apparently, Michael was was remarking how pumped Fredie was to go on stage, and how much he envied that feeling!

This may be one of those Queen concerts in Los Angeles where backstage, Michael Jackson suggested to Freddie Mercury and ultimately convinced Queen that "Another One Bites the Dust" be released as a single in America. Evidentially, that was some VERY GOOD advice because it topped the charts! And then shortly after, Michael goes on to release the biggest selling album of all time globally lol. Both LEGENDS in their own right. Respect

This is just a fantastic video. MJ has been attending Queen shows from 1977-82 and he and Freddie adored each others work. Freddie at one time was quoted as saying the Jacksons were his favorite group. Both MJ and Freddie had similar vocal styles during those days, especially in the mid 70's. They are the best showmen that ever lived and rocked audiences across the globe. You get no better than Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury. Each of them similar and different.

@kdefender7780 both Hutton and Freestone wrote what I consider to be extremely disrespectful books about Mercury's private life and illness. I know some fans want to hear those details and they probably needed the money, but that doesn't change what they did. Mercury was apparently surrounded by vultures; it's no wonder he was lonely, and no wonder he willed everything to Austin.

phartley58 Why is that weird? MJ was also a HUGE fan of James Brown who was his biggest influence and mentor. He said that James Brown and Jackie Wilson’s concerts were the best he’s ever attended in all his life. The Bee Gees Saturday Night Fever album influenced him to make a hit record. He also became very good friends with one of The Bee Gees band mates, Barry Gibbs, and they did a duet together which was never officially release called “All in His Name”. You can find it here on KZbin. I’ve put a link below of MJ talking to one of his friends about all of his favorite artists and influences in case you’d like to hear it coming directly from him and not me lol kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2qVo3RrhNial7s

phartley58 Yes The Bee Gees LoL. I was surprised when I learned of this too! But, Facts are facts. He ALWAYS stated this in his interviews and personal conversations. Michael Jackson NEVER stated that he was a fan of Queen. Even in the personal conversation that MJ has with his friend Brett Ratner in the video link that I posted for you above, Michael NEVER mentions Queen. He saw Freddie Mercury as a good prospect to collaborate with but it was purely just business. He did not idolize or was ever mind blown by Queen.
