Every young musician starting out needs to listen to this version. Just to show them that by using interesting chords, arrangements, rhythms and definitely not looping the same 4 bars forever can create something new and different. That constantly gets voted the best song ever written. The 70s were full of mega hits that were wildly different to each other. Even songs you don’t like are still respected for the talent involved. There’s a reason the 60s/70s and 80s are the best decades for music.

Producers have always used various tricks (and always will) to help make a recording sound perfect, because why would you settle for anything less than perfect? Of course, pitch correction is much easier when it's automated like it is today, but they were using every tool at their disposal at the time and producers will continue using every available tool.
@d_g31473 жыл бұрын
@@PKNproductions nope man autotune was created in 1997 and when bohemian rhapsody was composed it was impossible to correct somebody’s voice . the only thing they could do was to overlap different voice tracks to create a different effect but this isn’t freddie’s case
@PKNproductions3 жыл бұрын
@@d_g3147 Exactly -- the reason the didn't use autotune wasn't some kind of ethical opposition to the use of studio tools, its just that that particular tool hadn't been invented yet. They used all the tools that they had available to them in that era -- splicing together different takes, layering up. etc. If they had modern tech back then, they would have used modern tech too because the job of a studio producer is to output the best possible recording of a song. Slight fact check though: it was not "impossible" to correct someone's voice before Antares came along. As early as the 1940s, producers have used tape speed adjustment to make corrections to a take. That being said, if you were working with a legend like Freddie it would probably be easier to just have him record another take if you spot an off note than to go through the tedious work of correcting it in the mixing process.
