I'd greatly appreciate it if some Queen fans would give a quick listen to my acoustic piano & vocal live performance of RADIO GA-GA in tribute to one of the band's top 80s-era hits and to Roger Taylor (who wrote the song). Live recording with no autotune or digital editing. Peace & stay safe.

I am a crazy Queen/Freddie Mercury fan. I was only 12 years old when he passed. So never was able to see Queen live. (Queen was not very big in the states..) I have seen every live performance, interviews, etc. All members of Queen conducted themselves so professionally, polished, and prepared. I have yet to see a live show of Queens that was anything less than Awesome. He was the real deal! His legacy as well as the 3 remaining members will never be forgotten. Ever!

What a performer, when the crowd sing along like that you know the song is forever a classic… gives you goosebumps
@KAEngravingAndGifts6 ай бұрын
Some time ago, I think Brian said they were used to the crowd singing along, but what really got them is when they'd be in a predominantly non-English speaking country and Freddie would stop singing to listen to the crowd sing to him... folks who didn't even speak English were singing to them IN English. If I remember correctly, it was Love of My Life specifically, but BoRhap really has that power too. I am not well-travelled, and I'm from the USA so I cannot speak another language, but I'd imagine Freddie's charisma translates in all languages & cultures. One HELL of a performer, may he Rest in Peace!!!

Lyrics Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landside, No escape from reality Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see, I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy, Because I'm easy come, easy go, Little high, little low, Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to Me, to me Mamaaa, Just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, Now he's dead Mamaaa, life had just begun, But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, oooh, Didn't mean to make you cry, If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters Too late, my time has come, Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all The time Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go, Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth Mama, oooh I don't want to die, I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all. I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango! Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening me Galileo, Galileo Galileo, Galileo Galileo, Figaro - magnificoo I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me He's just a poor boy from a poor family, Spare him his life from this monstrosity Easy come, easy go, will you let me go Bismillah! No, we will not let you go (Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go (Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go (Let me go) Will not let you go (Let me go)(Never) Never let you go (Let me go) (Never) let you go (Let me go) Ah No, no, no, no, no, no, no Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia, let me go Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, For meee So you think you can stop me and spit in my eye So you think you can love me and leave me to die Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby, Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here Nothing really matters, Anyone can see, Nothing really matters, Nothing really matters to me Any way the wind blows...

So that everyone is aware the secret to Freddy's live Piano sound is the Helpinstill piano pickups that he used on his concerts and I believe even in the studio all the way back to the 70's. This is how you hear the higher octaves sounding different than the lower octaves. Notice Freddy on almost every concert plays with the Piano and then touches the dials on the Pickup mixer box on the top of the side of the piano, just like he did here you can clearly see he turns it on. The Helpinstill system is 3 long rectangular pickups that go inside your piano and then on a small mixer ( placed you guessed it, where freddy has it. Inventor Charles Helpinstill

Danfuerth Gillis thanks for telling me I never even knew you could put pickups on a piano!!!
@danfuerthgillis44837 жыл бұрын
No problem. In live concerts with a full sized open type piano you can not mic it so yo put in the pickups inside the piano and then you close the door since there is no need to have it open since you will be hearing it through the stage monitors.

Whatever the song was truly about in Freddie's mind, it's both beautiful and sad and also one for the ages. Just look at his glance at the crowd at 4:38

Freddie was the best singer, bar none of any of the rock anthem bands -- maybe in all rock and roll. Great voice, with superb delivery and range.

He could give a hand command and the audience obeyed, he was mystical, beautiful, and the best rock singer/front man of all time.

This song is heart breaking, see him do the entire song I believe the video is a night at the Hammersmith (?) Companion to BORHAP and another song. All about Family, this one deals with his choice of careers and choices. Pure emotion here.

I love this video so much Freddie looks so cute at first talking to the audience then when he looks over the crowd at the end all shocked they know the lyircs. it hurts my heart and I feel empty that he isn't here anymore even though he died before I was born but it feels like I've known him my whole life :(
