That’s really sad. I really believe that it’s important to teach the new generations history bc there’s a lot of lessons to learn from history. Like I like watching a lot of the old Looney Tunes shorts & one in particular catches my eyes simply bc of its historical reference to the Civil War : “Southern Fried Rabbit”. A lot of people think it’s racist bc Bugs Bunny sneaks into the South border disguised as a black slave. I thought it was funny like it was at the time it was first time it was released. I presume the 600-year-old tradition that was broken was not playing "God Save the Queen" that day and substituting "The Star-Spangled Banner" for it. The music for "The Star-Spangled Banner" is an English tune credited to John Stafford Smith, who wrote "To Anacreon in Heaven" sometime in the mid 18th century. Francis Scott Key wrote lyrics to sing over this tune. The song "America" (My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty...) uses the tune that "God Save the Queen" is played to.

On one hand they fight for black civil rights and on the other hand they glorify racism and colonialism. Hypocrites. They should be opening museums about sufferings and plunder caused to the colonies by this evil empire..
