Queen Elizabeth was the last of the true queens. Playing the national anthem during Americas darkest days, showing heart felt solidarity and love. A true leader. And from a woman who went through the blitz during WW.2. Thank You. From all Americans

This so-called 'Queen' leaves behind a legacy of denial of treacherous plunder from nations, killing of innocent, unarmed civilians through inhuman laws and staying defiant on the crimes against humanity that her Empire perpetrated. She must be remembered in the light of her greedy, selfish actions and not some romanticized, redundant title. May those who perished because of her family's greed find peace. May humanity be spared from such characters in future. Americans and American media should be ashamed of themselves for glorifying this family with racist and colonialist history. That’s really sad. I really believe that it’s important to teach the new generations history bc there’s a lot of lessons to learn from history. Like I like watching a lot of the old Looney Tunes shorts & one in particular catches my eyes simply bc of its historical reference to the Civil War : “Southern Fried Rabbit”. A lot of people think it’s racist bc Bugs Bunny sneaks into the South border disguised as a black slave. I thought it was funny like it was at the time it was first time it was released. A lot of people don’t realize as well is that the old cartoons are mostly political like the newspaper comics. Then people today are trying to erase important moments that seem to be “too sensitive or unimportant” to today’s society which I think is ridiculous. Like nobody wants to talk about Andrew Jackson bc he was the one who launched the Trail of Tears so they automatically think of him as a bad guy & forget that he defended our country in the Battle of New Orleans in 1815, which was the final battle for the War of 1812. And they don’t teach that in the classrooms anymore

Her Majesty was a wonderful, thoughtful and devoted monarch, may she rest in peace. My condolences to His Majesty King Charles and the royal family on the loss of their mother. May God bless them all. American here from Wisconsin. Read through some of the comments. I presume the 600-year-old tradition that was broken was not playing "God Save the Queen" that day and substituting "The Star-Spangled Banner" for it. The music for "The Star-Spangled Banner" is an English tune credited to John Stafford Smith, who wrote "To Anacreon in Heaven" sometime in the mid 18th century. Francis Scott Key wrote lyrics to sing over this tune. The song "America" (My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty...) uses the tune that "God Save the Queen" is played to.

You beat about 1/20th of the British army and your most famous victory was down to the weather, You were lucky they were fighting us (the French ) at the same times, Had you faced the whole British military at that time you would have lost in a week. On one hand they fight for black civil rights and on the other hand they glorify racism and colonialism. Hypocrites. They should be opening museums about sufferings and plunder caused to the colonies by this evil empire..
