When my younger cousin , she's 16 , listened to this song and some other songs for the first time she said "what great songs, who's the singer?" I told her its Queen, the band that formed nearly 50 years ago. She was so surprised and wonder how come those songs are timeless. I told her "Queen is the band consists of four brilliant guys creating their own music, thats why become the world's greatest" 👑 I'm a fan from Indonesia..queen songs motivated me to learn english when I was a kid 🙋‍♀️🤓

Csöpi Very introspective song. A hint of lament if not jealousy in the lines "All you (Band mates, loved ones, fans) do is live -. All I (Freddie) do is die. Why can't we just be friends and stop living a lie. So let me LIVE. Let me live (and leave me alone)". Last sentnence is him begging that his mates let him live his final days to the fullest and not be sad and over protective. Not sure what he meant by the "Why can't we just be friends" line if he and the band were tight and great friends. Unless they were acting more like caretakers with the disease but never recognizing the disease rather than his buddies and band mates he knew them as, and wanted THAT ole relationship of 20+ years to be what bonded them - not pity and boring sadness. Just my take on it.

Tin Cup, considering this song was written and sung before Freddie knew he had AIDS, I would say you are injecting biographical drama into just a nice Queen song. The three remaining members pulled this from a back catalog that had just a few nearly finished, unreleased songs from the 80s. This is from around 1983(originally with Rod Stewart).

Written by Brian May in '90-This song was originally slated for Brian's solo album-but when he heard Freddie sing the leads-he changed everything around. He got a small group to finish off a chorus, and this made it to "Made In Heaven" with Brian, Freddie, and Roger being the original singers. John did not sing on this song. This is the only song where all three founding musicians sang a verse, and backing vocals. Brian May loved how Freddie sounded, so that settled it.The piano is so perfect-its enough to add to all their voices... Brian has it right at the end of the song- its perfect. Absolutely perfect. Just go for it babe...

Just like the last song, Made in Heaven, this song takes on a new meaning when you find out it was recorded in 1983/84. It wasn't the song of a dying man but more likely of someone who was seeking to love and be loved. I believe this was written before Freddie met Jim and Freddie was in a very bad relationship with Winnie K. so this song probably reflected that. Again, just my speculation. :) Freddie had so much love in his heart and just wanted to share that with someone. I am glad he found Jim for those last 6-7 years but sad that it took so many heartbreaks for him to find true love.

Objectively, Queen is nowhere near the greatest band ever. You could choose random bands from a list and they would have a greater legacy and better music. Iron maiden. king crimson. deep purple. lz. black sabbath. genesis. the band..

Absolutely *BEAUTIFUL* song, apparently written by John Deacon!!!! Holy crap! I just heard this on my listen through of Made in Heaven and I immediately stopped what I was doing to leave this comment...I love how Freddie, Roger and Brian sing this perfectly together, and part of John comes through... "if you're ever in trouble, you know where I'll be..." He may have retired from the music scene but his work will always be timeless and brilliant, admired by everyone all over the world no matter what year it is. Gorgeous song by the best band ever!!! True friends... ❤️
