@@alliegator7869 yeah but the point is it had always been dark harbor for years but then we had that one odd year they did Shaqtoberfest. Now Dark Harbor's back.

@@josephflores8416 The majority of the event is the same footprint as Shaqtober in the parking lot, but there are three mazes on the ship that are accessed from the festival grounds outside of the Queen Mary.

They scanned out tickets from out phone with either a scanning device or phone... I wasn't really paying attention! LOL

We paid for "preferred parking." We were sent to a grassy field within a park near the main lot. There is also offsite parking with shuttles. My advice, arrive early and pay for preferred, if that is an option.

The event starts 7.. can u go couple hours to walk around ship.. Or is the queen mary closed for dark harbor?

The ship is open, but entrance is a separate charge.

There are a lot of steep steps, uneven surfaces, and narrow corridors within the mazes on the ship. There was not alternative access that I saw, but I may have missed it. That being said, the website says "We offer a wide range of services for our visitors and strive to provide an excellent experience for everyone attending Dark Harbor." So, I think it would be best to reach out to them directly for specific answers.
