I honestly think Maria sounds the most evil, and as the supreme leader of the Dark Kingdom, I would have actually liked her to portray Metalia in Crystal, but the redub is great as well, so all good. Love some of Maria's lines though. "Don't whine at me Beryl! You're nearly as incompetent as your minions! I should abandon you but I'm giving you this last chance, use it well!", with the awesome DiC music in the background.

Both Japanese VAs and Maria sound creepy as hell but I also love Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's rather regal and sultry take as well, makes Queen Metalia more mysterious. ^^

Maria Vacratsis is by far the best English voice for Queen Metalia. I also love the fact that she is Greek! Great voice!

At least Metalia's voice has always been creepy. That's consistent~ I'm excited to hear Motoki's voices~ I quite like him. Can't wait for the next video!

Noriko Ueda also voiced Kaolinite. Yoko Matsuoka voiced a Youma (Iguara) and a Daimon (Osouji)

Noriko Uemura is a legend in the Sailor Moon's world. She was a great Metalia and did another excellent work as Kaolinite. About the english voices, I like Mary Elizabeth Glynn better. Her ellegant and soft tone created a good contrast with Metalia's hideous form. Maria Vacratsis wasn't bad, but her performance looked like that villains of old Disney movies. It seemed a little outdated to me.

Mary McGlynn's voice is much more pleasing to me. Her voice is ominous but still very regal and serious, and I love that filter they put over her voice to emulate the original Japanese. Maria just sounds overly villainous to the point of cheesy to me, but still fitting considering the times.

So in the DiC dub was Metalia Beryl’s servant at first? She speaks to her like she’s below her (Beryl). Then when we see her again the roles feel reversed.

The DiC writers were inconsistent with that but let's just say she was stroking Queen Beryl's ego in the beginning. At least DiC called Queen Metalia (The Negaforce) one thing and stuck with it, unlike Cloverway who kept naming the Messiah something different each episode haha.
