You’re now getting to see that he always loved her but didn’t like her because she was so cold to him during the recent years. He’s now falling for her again and all it took was a little kindness (a compliment). And the thing is that she wasn’t trying to be mean to him. She’s just not overtly demonstrative. She shows she cares in very subtle (often secret) ways. All she had to do is show vulnerability and he would be her champion. Because she kept pushing his help away and not talking to him, he started to distance himself. Lack of communication is the problem as it is in many relationships

Kdramas are just so amazing - a real breath of fresh air in the cultural void of US entertainment. If it wasn't for them and Japanese rock music like Band Maid I would have no modern entertainment to enjoy. My favorite drama of all time has to be My Mister (The Korean name for it is far more descriptive). It is such an amazing and well made simple slice of life drama that, even though I have seen it more than once, I still have to pause it from time to time while watching because I simply can't believe anything can be that good.

This is the 3rd series written by Park Ji-eun with "Queen' i n the title after Queen of Housewives and Queen of Reversals. Neither Hyun-woo nor Hae-in is aware of the mp3 connection. His strange smile,as mentioned in anoter comment, is an homage to his former co-star Bae Suzy and her flirting smile. Those sneakers are custom and cost around $1500 a pair.

Yup exactly you can't treat your children inequally. Regardless of if one is weaker. Like yeah pay more attention to them but dont take away from your other child. Thats how childhood trauma develops with feelings of insecurity and just basically feeling like you can't depend on or be vulnerable with anyone else if you couldnt be that with your own mother.

Regarding the younger brother, it's a little bit of what you are talking about + her mother's fear, as it will be revealed in the upcoming episodes, so I won't spoil or I mean they already revealed kinda in this episode as well when Hyun-woo asks Hae-in to tell about her problem to everyone. She says that they(her parents) have already "lost a child". I won't spoil any more but I'll just say that due to that loss, the mother especially became "overprotective" of the younger brother to the point that she never allowed him to do anything on his own and always shielded him. As to why it existed only to the younger brother, you need to watch the episodes to know!
