Do you treasure a photograph of your mother? The Bible tells us to honour those who are worthy of honour. The Lord Jesus honours His mother. It is appropriate that we do too. She is a spiritual mother to the faithful. Does not the Scripture call Abraham a father of the faithful? The Bible also promises those who overcome will reign with Jesus as kings, sharing His throne. It is therefore consistent with that to believe He has made His mother Queen in heaven. Mary is a real human being, whom God has greatly blessed. Christians are called to love one another, so it is right we should love Mary, who heard the word of God and obeyed it, and was the first to dedicate her life to serving Christ.
