Enormous respect for Eb cornett players. I used to play cornett in my brass band. But the Eb cornett player had to be high up there above the rest of us.

Both are great versions, however since the original is also higher pitched (soprano voice) I lean towards the Eb cornet's rendition. Thanks for making & sharing another excellent recording + video!

I Like both equally. If I close my eyes and get in the mood of both I picture the crisp clear tone of the cornet piercing through thick mist of an early morning in an Valley with a river. In contrast to that the warmth and full tone of the euphonium at an Sommers eve on a mountain echoing from the top.

This is a tough one to call, I definitely prefer the soprano cornet on the earlier parts but I think the euphonium is better on the later sections

Solo and ensemble usually has a list of specific pieces that people can play, st least in florida we cant rlly pick a random piece it has to be on the list, maybe check if the magic flute in the list?

Hello Matonizz, wonderful playing! I have a question about the intonation of the JP Euph. In a former video you said, that you always would go with a tuningslide trigger. Now you don't use one.
