So many people just bash Brian and Roger for playing concerts with somebody other than Freddie Mercury.. but I bet you anything that if Freddie could come back into existence and tell you what he feels he'd say something like, "Oh, don't be ridiculous! Of course they should play with new people!" Freddy would love that their music is being kept alive and on the road. They aren't trying to replace him, and they say that all the time - they just live to play their music and they honour the memory of Freddie all the time. People spitting at Brian and Roger haven't got a clue - just nasty, small minded Freddy fanboys who ironically don't understand how Freddy would have felt at all.

People are spitting at them? I have been a Queen fan for 44ish years now. I saw them in 1979 and 80. I love Queen. Not Half of Quenn +Lambert. Bc really now they have two drummers, Four guitar players and several back up singers. So barely half of Queen. It is great that they are performing at 72. But not under the name Queen. Lambert can definitely sing and hit many notes but lacking the warmth and richness of most of those songs. And that movie has brought so many people into the amazing Queen repertoire even though there are massive untruths in the movie. So if you can enjoy it, good for you. I personally just can't. I'd never ever spit at them or trash talk them either.

Becky Tweedale I am new Queen fan and also Adam Lambert ‘s fan too. We just watched Queen + Adam concert. Tell the truth, I enjoyed a lot. But I have to say that some of the songs are didn’t suit with Adam’s vocal.

@@monawinn6992 hi Mona, I'm so glad you've discovered Queen. They were an amazing band. I'd recommend starting back into the early 70s onward. They have so many hits but also many hidden gems, songs that were never released as singles. And in all the concert footage you can see the evolution of queen. Especially Freddie, He went through some amazing transformations in his looks, how he delivers a song etc.

Love that Queen merged with Adam. He brought Queen back to life, back on stage, & allows people to hear their amazing songs live once again. I saw the 2014 tour 3 times & wish I could see them 30 more! Would LOVE for a DVD, youtube can only capture so much. Loving Queen Forever & I think there are some songs on that album that Queen could remake with Adam. Also a collaboration with new songs would be amazing.

Freddie did say that, he really wanted them to go on, as he would have gone on if one of them passed away. The sadness never leaves them I don't think but they still have the music!

Brian & Roger chose a gem when they added Adam . He has a beautiful voice & doesn't try to be Freddie. Like how Brian describes reaction from his wife & speaks so great of Adam himself. Don't worry about what fans say for QUEEN +ADAM are giving them phenomenal concerts to watch.🥰

I dont think the Queen show today is equal to the original Queen shows, far from it, anyone with ears can give evidence to that, but noone would grudge them their music. The show must go on.

I think the distinction is that he says the energy the concerts have are as good as any they ever did. Freddie was an amazing composer, lyricist, and singer. While Adam has given Brian and Roger a conduit to play live again, which I acknowledge as their right and I wholly support them in that, he isn’t Freddie and as a fan of Queen for over 45 years, I appreciate that it’s still billed as Queen + ... Not knocking Adam at all. He truly has an exceptional voice, but Queen will always be May, Taylor Deacon and Mercury. So...Go Get ‘Em Boys! I’ll be seeing you in August!

Does Adam Lambert write songs as well as sing? If he did , and was able to contribute lyrically as well as vocally , THAT would be SOMETHING!! But can you imagine being hand picked by Dr. Brian May and Dr. Roger Taylor to sing and tour with you? The idea was NEVER to try to replace Freddie , Darlin' , but I do believe in my heart of hearts that the good ol' boys just wanted to play and tour again!! It's what the have been doing for 50 years , and the WHOLE world , INCLUDING Adam Lambert knows that Mr. Freddie Mercury could NEVER be replaced , but we could still ENJOY his music!! I think it's FANTASTIC that at 71+ these gentlemen would Still bless us with the gift of their music and concerts !! And I hope young Lambert appreciates the gift they have bestowed upon him as well!! Freddie was my 1st preteen crush! I was 11 when Crazy Little Thing Called Love came out and I babysat for 2 nights to buy the album and a poster!! I thought he was just beautiful!! 💞💞🌟🌟💞💞 Rest easy you wonderfully talented man!! He was like a shooting star!! Came out so bright and beautiful and fizzled out and died just as fast! But he also saw the height of his fame! At 45 , I know it's young , but like he said himself he couldn't run around on stage forever! If I was him , I would have happily died , maybe not in the same Mannor , but he lived his life EXACTLY as he wanted , did EVERYTHING he had ever wanted to do......Really , who could ask for more ?? He said he wanted to be a " LEGEND " and he got Exactly what he wanted! Almost 28 years after his death people the world over KNOW his name , his music and they STILL LOVE A GENTLEMAN , THEY HAVE NEVER MET!! Rachel LaRocque Adam Lambert has a very robust solo career. He either just dropped or will be soon dropping a new album. They have discussed writing new material together, but I think that would go over just as poorly as when they wrote new music with Paul Rogers. At this point, it’s hard to do that and call it Queen.
