He is an amazing man. Any questions about how much he loved Freddie Mercury are answered when he talks about him. I think after Freddie's death he turned to music to try and face the denial- the sadness and pain...It's great to know Brian is still with us..Keep making music Brian. Forever.#Roger#Redspecial

Great comment! They were brothers. Loved one another like brothers. The way Brian can best remember Freddie is by creating music until he physically no longer can. That's what Freddie did and it's what he would have wanted

I'd like to share a memory from 1975 - 76. My cousin Glenn and I were such big fans. We sat in the car at my parents' , and this was when Bohemian Rhapsody first came out. We were mesmerized. None of us could even drive yet - we were that young. We turned the radio on, and we would find "Bohemian Rhapsody" playing, and we would sing it. When it ended, we would just tune the radio around, and it would be on another station. We would laugh, and sing it again. When that one ended, we would repeat the process. These are the days of MY life, and I want to thank you for it, Brian - for being such a magnificent part of my educational/musical/spiritual process. Thank you very much for all the sacrifices you made to make the music you continue to contribute to us "longtime" fans, and please know that from day one - I had faith in all of you. I knew you would make it... God bless, and God save the Queen (I am from English descent - John Adams/John Quincy Adams)...All my best, Jean Noelle Pettit

Brian May, only child, was so lucky to fall into a life path that blessed him with brothers as an adult. And I think though it has hurt him at times when there was conflict or loss, he knows how lucky he was to get that. He certainly wouldn't trade it.

I sympathize with you... I work in New York State in a Group Home for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. I cannot stand the heat, and the season has been unbearably hot this past Summer and Autumn here in the States. I am sitting here, working the overnight shift, remembering your music when I was a kid/child. You all are part of my very blood and bone - okay, that's a bit dramatic, but I truly can't remember my life without Queen being there - even as a child, I had all your pictures on my bunkbed headboard (corny, huh?) sometimes very prominently - sometimes in the background as a support - you guys were always there, and taught me so much about harmony - in addition to The Lennon Sisters, Peter, Paul, and Mary, Simon and Garfunkel, and others... I recently purchased an album from a distributor here - he opened up a shop selling "vinyl" and it was so refreshing. Brian, the album looks like it was released just after Queen II, but before Sheer Heart Attack. I am at work right now, so I can't pull it up in front of me, but I gave this store owner $40 for it, and there is some amazing stuff on it. Brian, I just want you to know that I go all the way back, and I have grown with you and the band from the very beginning. There are fans, and there are FANS. I have been with you all since the start, and will remain so. Wish me luck - I am trying to complete my Master's/Graduate Degree in Special Education from Empire State University. It means a lot to me. Thank you for your inspiration, and I will bid you a good night because I have to get to my job now... God Save the Queen... Best wishes, Jean Noelle Pettit 12 Elm Street; Apt. C; Batavia, NY 14020 716-425-6631.

Queen and Adam Lambert are awesome. Adam has never tried to imitate Freddie, said it millions of times in interviews. He has always put his own spin on the songs which, I must say, he does a GREAT job of. How nice that Queen and Adam Lambert can keep those timeless songs alive for future generations. Seeing the great pleasure on the faces of Brian, Roger, Spike and co is well worth watching. Why people have to put Adam down in such a nasty manner is beyond me, give the guy a break, he is one of the most amazing singers in the world, admit it.👏👏👏

I agree with you 100%. I love the fact that Adam Lambert is his own and authentic self. He doesn't try to imitate Freddie, he is just so very very good at what he sings. Great even! Mark Martel isn't enjoyable because he tries so hard to be Freddie. I find it creepy myself. Blessings.

@@MsLovieGirl Mark does not try and be Freddie, he just sings and the voice comes out. He has vocals close to Freddie but you can tell the difference, listen to him before 2011 and you can see what i mean. His voice is close to Freddie but cannot hit some of the notes but otherwise a great singer with a very unique sound like Freddie. No one will ever be Freddie and no one will ever sound just like him. and i have been a Queen fan since 1975

Adam has sang a B5 note once in his life. Freddie easily sang from Bb5 - C6 and occasionally higher well, during all of his vocal impromptus. Freddie did vocal impromptus every time he performed during 1984-1986. It is great for Brian and Roger to keep on touring, but they should stop trying to downgrade Freddie, in order to build up Adam Lambert.

You know, I do get that feeling as well now. It seems like they tend to try and deal with the critics of AL by saying "Freddie would say how does he do that"; " he can do things Freddie could not do". etc etc. Anyway, they can do that. Nothing anyone can do about it.

I'm sorry but lambert cannot sing higher then Freddie. Freddie can go up to a Soprano F6 and lambert doesn't come close to that. Freddie had a very distinctive voice and sound which made Queen awesome, as well as Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon respectively. While lamberts voice is no doubt awesome in his own right, his voice is best associated with other music genres not relating to Queen. I also saw Queen live a few years ago in Toronto and I did get enjoy the performance and sing all Queen songs, lambert didn't really impress me at all.

That is hilarious. Nuno is a non original, non entity in the history of guitar and guitarists. It doesn't matter what one can "do". It's originality and artistry that make a great player. He has neither. I have played with Brian and he is a true artist/stylist and will go down in history as the better player even though technically he is obviously not. But they do terrible things! For example the film (BR). Shame! Teasing Freddie with a clown actor and lying vile stories. Terrible, which is also done with concerts; with the legacy of the real queen and Freddie Mercury. Disrespectful and unworthy. Brian is a fake man.
