I have to agree with your review. When I first saw images of this statue when it was in pre-order I couldn’t believe it. It looked fantastic and I never thought that they would make a statue about this scene. It’s unfortunate that this statue didn’t meet my expectations. Great video.

I like this version of a Joker statue, it's nice to see Heath's joker out of his traditional outfit. I had to go back to compare this one to the PO photos, and with that it's unfortunate because of the issues you mentioned. I'm not sure how they can pack statues in a way to avoid wrinkles. Currently all the statues I own are fully sculpted so I lack experience dealing with mix media.

I agree with alot of what you said & others... too big. I would say it's one of those pieces that satisfy solely Joker collectors/lovers. His glare is haunting tho, no makeup means if he is scary AF without it means this is good work. Ledger is the first and only in the Joker Hall of Fame. Amazing how they even went as far as fabric for a specialty piece.

Yea, you make a good point Mr. X. I don't think they would have made this piece if Heath Ledger was still alive today. He was amazing in the movie but this scene is definitely not one of the most memorable ones. Anyway even though the portrait is very close to that of Heath Ledger, the concept of that part of the movie is a miss for me. What's up with the cheap made in China American flag. For the price you pay for the sculpt, the least they could have done, is give you a really well made and material on old glory. That way you can be proud to display the sculpt as a tribute to a great American actor whom gave us one amazing performance before leaving us too soon. Yea, for the skimping out and useing cheap materials in somethings definitely puts the piece in a 3/5 rating. Can't wait to see the next one in his full Joker costume on.

Definitely extra creepy to see Ledger's Joker with all his scarring and messed up face, but without the paint. Scarier than with his makeup!

Animaniacs for life. I would love a statue of that intro of them in the water tower. Not a big fan of this joker piece but at least they are trying something different. I think a different base would have added a lot to this.

I think it's really cool they did this scene, but it kinda reminds me of the old Barbed Wire Bayonet military figures which isn't a bad thing, I'd love to see a good Nurse Joker

Wow I did not expect that. That was a bit of a letdown especially for the price. I think Hot Toys could have did a 1/4 version of this like the Boba Fett and Vader I think those are really good. I think JND Studios could have done better but it would have cost a fortune. I just think for the uniform and the accessories not to be great they shouldn't have done it at all too bad for that price. It's too bad I really thought this was going to be a great statue😔 I think it's something with the way his eyes are positioned that throws it off🤷‍♂️

Heath was the best joker but it's weird investing the space and money on a statue glorify/represent such a subtle moment which only lasted a couple of seconds. As a Marvel fan I tend not to have too many duplicates of characters and would imagine DC fans would be the same. Chances are you'd have to be a Batman fan to get this, and why not get one each of the rogue gallery, plus perhaps the odd variants(comic Joker, cartoon Joker, various tv/film Jokers). Maybe there is a movie niche where it's only TDK idk. I think the issue is the mouth where it looks too pudgy and puckered... just from comparing on KZbin. Also gives me vibes of the Carnage with the flag.

Yeah they seem to be running out of different ways to portray Heath Ledger's Joker, I think I heard the next ones going be him in the make-up chair in the morning before filming... anyway I watched the Dark Knight Trilogy recently and the pony nub is movie accurate. Be Excellent.
