Brian wrote this for the movie Highlander. Fun fact Brian wrote 65 Queen songs. Another great video for Highlander is Princes of the Universe 🔥

Even I have heard and seen this gem of a song hundreds of times, even made a vid since Queen is my niche, I am sitting here across the pond crying. Freddie's voice causes a physical or psychosomatic reaction, there are many male reactors breaking out into tears. Thank you very kindly❣❣

By listening 🎧 to this song tells me that you only have one life charish it and treat people with the equal right good or bad but if the bad out wheighs the good you must extinguish it by any means and keep living your life cause you only have one and you can't live forever so enjoy whatever moment that you are in

One of my favs. In a small way, Freddie reminds me of Elvis...he just can't keep still! Those high notes kill me in this video! He didn't do it live, I'm assuming to save his voice. But the live version really shows his passion even more, if that's possible. What a talented, kind, giving, funny, yummy man he was.

You should definitely react to the show must go on by Queen one of Freddie's last songs recorded but the power in his vocal in that song is out of this world definitely Freddie's best vocal

I absolutely second that! The official video is a bit dull and distracting, I think, just bits and pieces of live material cut together. I'd recommend the lyrics video.

This song is, quite frankly, a hell of a lot more moving if you know the movie Highlander. It's about a Scottish lad who dies in 1536, only to find himself coming back to life and himself ageless and immortal, unless you cut his head off. This song was played over a montage of his life with his first wife, Heather, as she aged and died childless (immortals cannot have kids, male or female) while he remained the same, coming to the realization that everyone he will come to know and care about in his life will do the same, while he lives on, unchanging. This forces him to make the choice between two types of pain; engaging with humanity and going through the pain of losing them, or facing centuries of isolation and loneliness.
