@@fillingsauce7130 Layne Staley had a voice unlike any other in our current era. Covering a song and trying to get close to his level of vocal range would be hard for anyone. Corey has a good vocal range himself but I'd say Laynes is impossible to replicate. Hell Dio would probably have a hard time covering aic songs if he were still alive and Dio had a wide vocal range too.

Im learning this song on guitar, it's one of my favorites. I was looking for covers to see how people played the intro part so I know how to go from chord to chord. I love slipknot too, and I think Corey not only has a nice yelling voice, but it on its own without growl is so beautiful and seem less. @raggedrec @comaalpha Huge Weiland fan so I’m biased but I kind of agree. They’re literally an STP cover band with Jeff Gutt. He tries way too hard to be Scott & it’s so cringe. The DeLeo brothers, particularly Robert, are insanely talented and I feel for them. They worked their asses off for decades & endured a lot with Scott. It sucks for them that they’re nothing without Scott but…it is what it is. Talk Show flopped but I think a new band not fronted by a Scott clone is something I would like to hear from them. Just my opinion, of course!
