Two amazing STP songs you should check out are #1. Interstate Love Song (my favorite song of theirs) and #2. Vasoline. STP was mostly part of the grunge scene of the early-mid 90's, but then they broke out and became more "alternative rock". Awesome reactions as always! :)

Andy: I'm older and also a guitarist. Sex Type Thing is the BEST STP rock out song with those drums, bar none. Now, as you move on with your 90's Grunge education, I'd love to see you do a reaction video to this song: Godsmack "Whatever". It'd be great to see and hear your reaction to that one! All the best and enjoy your Summer!!!!

Thievius333 Is that one of the band members? Thanks for watching by the way!
@Thievius3336 жыл бұрын
The lead singer for many years and featured in the video you watched, yes. He sang for STP for many years but was fired became of his drug problems and addictions. At one point he seemed to get it under control, did projects with other bands, but he fell into his old ways and died a couple years ago. Such a waste, because he really was a great vocalist. STP released an album recently with a new vocalist and it was fairly well received. Coincidentally, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park fame, sang for STP briefly after Scott was fired. And he died recently as well. STP is killing lead singers left and right! (jk)

Hey why haven't you reviewed any Stone Temple Pilots songs since this one? This band is waaay too successful and good to only do one. If you liked the drum fills on this song, wait till you hear "Big Empty"! Other great STP songs... "Interstate Love Song", "Plush", "Wicked Garden", and so many more.

I was amazed by them also they surprised me also back in the day I thought they were a punk rock band but when I heard a song called Big Empty great song I was surprised to know that STP did it a band I that was a punk rock band! Nothing punk rock about that song they turned out to be a Pop ,Rock ,grunge,alternative, band Amazing how Scott the Lead singer voice changes which u will experience if u listen or react to their catalog and I loved your reaction .

I graduated in '93, had this CD. I haven't looked up stuff about this song online, but I do remember hearing on the radio in the '90s that Scott would sometimes do this song in a dress. And that the song was about rape, specifically date rape when that was a term we heard a lot at the time. But, he was not advocating it, just making a song about how a creep would talk while forcing himself on a girl. Despite that you cant help but sing it, its just too damn catchy of a song in many ways. "I'm gonna learn ya my philosophy". My boss and I at work loved using that line.😅
