Rice paper would look a bit different but I'm sure would still look really beautiful as well.

Great very smart hack. Will these sail get soggy or not by absorbing moister from cream or staying in refrigerator. For how many hours rice paper wave will stay stable?

They will absorb some of the moister but they still hold up beautifully for at least a day. Just make sure they have dried completely before placing them on the cake.
