Mamamoo actually has two songs called I Miss You. One is from their 1st full album, Melting, and the other is an OST. 😂 Of course Mamamoo's version has 3 distinct arrangements: Melting, Queendom, and 2021. If you wanna add to your playlist remember that.

Hwasa, at least, loves to say "destiny" is about them or at least makes her think about them together as a group. They others like to squeal and call her cringey and cheesy whenever she does it, but you just know they all love hearing that

Kei was in Lovelyz, but they've since disbanded. Throughout last year she was doing some musical theater work. That round of Queendom was duet pairings with one member from each competing group, and the VCR segments were funny because everyone wanted to pair up with Hwasa. In the end, Kei was the most insistent, and Hwasa picked her.

In the episode where they are forming the singing duos every other idol wanted to pair with Hwasa. It was so funny watching them compete over her. Kei and Hwasa flirted for the rest of the show. I Miss You was for a round labled Fandora's box and was intended to be specifically directed to fans. Moonbyul rewrote her rap for the song to make it more about their relationship with the fans. I think you remember it from the verse in Killing Voice. Destiny is about a couple who break up and then later in life meet again and get back together. The Korean title is something like We were always meant for each other. The notion of Queendow was that all the groups agreed to have their next comeback be right after the Queendom Finale so all the final songs are brand new. Destiny is on Reality in Black with Hip the title track.

They release "Destiny" and, in 2020, they mostly focus on their individual career before THEY finally group up together AGAIN for "Travel". I love them. 😭♥️

I get that you were making a connection with Destiny, but they pretty much did the same thing in 2022, all solos until Illella and a new concert tour.

@@anonygent In 2021, though, it's mostly because RBW doesn't set aside group projects for them because of them going public. They don't want the public to know that MAMAMOO generates 95% of their annual revenues because it will affect their IPO. MAMAMOO has been AROUND for so many years. RBW may face going concern issues if THEY EVER LOSE MAMAMOO. RBW even sabotage their sales by limiting their sales so that they would not generate too much revenues. 😭

@@krysivory493 It's bad for Mamamoo, but I understand why RBW would want to diversify, so if they ever do lose Mamamoo, they don't go broke immediately. That's why they push Purple Kiss but ignore Mamamoo. I was surprised but happy to see the BTS videos from their concert tour... I was beginning to think RBW just didn't care any more, going by the fact that they haven't bothered to restock the light sticks.

Mamamoo's"Destiny" is inspired by Ennio Morricone. This is an Italian composer best known for his spaghetti western soundtracks from the 60's/70's. btw. AOA's final stage "Sorry" also has a Western theme and their cover of Mamamoo's song "Egotistic" is also a highlight of the show. Also definitely worth seeing are the stages of Oh My Girl, especially "Destiny" a cover of the Lovelys song, "Twilight" and the finale "Guerilla".

Destiny is about them. MMM believes they were fated to become best friends even if they weren't in a group together or even singers. The performance concept usually seems to get overlooked so I'll give you my 2 cents on it. I see it as a mashup of a kdrama where fated souls meet in multiple lifetimes before achieving their destiny to be together with a spaghetti western good guys vs bad guys battle that culminates with a shootout at the Queendom corral. The wraithlike black clad dancers are a big clue. As Hwasa sets the stage by singing that she's going to tell us her story she conjures up the dancers as tho she's bringing on the cast of characters and recalling old memories and then Solar floats in from the mists of time carried on the backs of those memories. And of course you've got the spaghetti western inspired music, cowgirl outfits and the technicolor western desert sunset to set the scene. In Moonbyul's rap verses she prances forward like sheriff John Wayne telling a bad guy "Ya better get out of town by sundown, pilgrim, if you know what's good for ya." lol The lyrics go into their past failures to be together as each member physically interacts with the dancers by sitting, lying or putting their feet on them. Hwasa sings "I can wait forever!" in the chorus, indicating they've tried to be together over and over and will continue trying until they succeed. Then comes the final showdown and Solar dispatches the dancers with a bang as the song & story come to a climax and MMM finally fulfills their Destiny. Wheein provides the epilogue and the moral of the story by singing "We've been together through thick and thin and we won't desert each other now" and the members finish with a classic pose representing their unity that looks like a renaissance sculpture of a Greek myth or biblical story.

Mamamoo are so perfect vocally. I Miss You has no MV only some live versions. You probably heard part of I Miss You on the Dingo Killing Voice, since it is there. If you want to see them cry, look up Moosical "I love too", just typing the title here on this comment is making me tear up. Paint Me, Where are we now might also cause some crying. You also skipped their cover of the AOA song Good Luck, it is good you missed super sexy Solar, floor twerking Hwasa, sexy piano girl wheein and Moonbyul coming out with two dudes on Leashes and collars. AOA covered Mamamoo's egotistic, it was also good. And you skipped Decalomanie, it is one of the best versions of this song, better than the MV. Destiny is one of my favorites, (though it seems Peppermint Chocolate is my most selected song on my itunes, Destiny is like 10th. But this US country sound, just shows how they literally can sing any genre

Interesting take. I thought they just phoned it in on Decalcomanie, and when they didn't win that round, they realized they were going to have to work for the win, it wasn't going to be a cakewalk. The rest of their performances were a step up.

@@anonygent I saw the show, mamamoo was basically in second place until the end. Decalcomanie caused other contestants to make comments like please stop being so fabulous. What pushed them on top was the release of albums. All of the groups agreed to release their combacks at tge same time near the end if the show and mamamoo won that, their single charted best, then destiny won it.

@@sendarian Yes, I watched it on KZbin as it came out. Interesting that Lion ended up outperforming Destiny over time. I didn't think it was nearly as good, myself.

@@anonygent Agree that wasn't their best live performance of Decalcomanie but it wasn't because they phoned it in. They performed Decalcomanie immediately after their 4+ hour long 4 Seasons F/W concerts in Daegu so they were at less than full strength vocally. Imo Solar & Hwasa held back a bit so their voices wouldn't crack and Wheein looked like she was about to collapse. Moonbyul was the only one who seemed to be operating at her peak.

Why you cry so easily? I Miss You is not about Mamamoo wanting to go back to when they were together because they've always been together. It's about missing an ex lover, and in this version they change the meaning of the song with Moonbyul writing a new rap verse and dedicating the song to their fans. Wish You Were Gay is a cover of Billie Eilish's song. Kei is from Lovelyz (who have since disbanded). Destiny is from their Reality In Black album. You missed Decalcomanie which opened the tv show and Good Luck which is where one group had to cover one of the other group's songs (Mamamoo covered AOA and AOA covered Mamamoo's Egotistic). Watch Queendom to know what the show is about and all your questions will be answered.

Good Luck is worth watching for the performance alone... the song is decent.
