The bass player for this song is Milo Beenhakker. Together with Eva Nahon they formed the rhythm section in Beaver. They were asked by Josh for this song, first song ever released under the QOTSA name. It was released on the compilation album "Burn one up".

Bought this album the day it came out. QOTSA, Fu Manchu, Karma to Burn, Sleep, Acrimony, Beaver. This was the birth of the term "stonerrock" because of the album said "Music for Stoners" right on the cover. I wasn't a "stoner", but I loved Kyuss and wanted to hear more music like it. The album was an amazing corroboration of awesome underground bands.

A lot of early QotSA & Late Kyuss b-sides were released on Frank Kozik’s Man’s Ruin Records label, which went under and hasn’t given spotify permission to upload it. Beaver/13eaver, the Dutch stoner band that Queens recorded this song with, also was signed to Man’s Ruin, and I believe the beaver guys owned some of the publishing rights to the song.

I like to think this song is about suicide. "There is no yesterday, there is no tomorrow." Then I hear the words as "Can't look, can't speak, another word." And then, "As far as you know, " would imply things about after death (heaven, hell, the void, etc.). "Over and over," would be the contemplation of suicide and finally, "Clear and forgotten." That's how you feel it would be. Forgotten but for a while a terribly clear conundrum in peoples lives. Anyways, what do you think?

no sir. you are right, the last two albums sounded differrent compared to the older ones, but they still have the good old quality that we are all used to and love about qotsa. every band changes its sounds over the years and plays with its music to find new ways to express itself. but that is not a bad thing. and beefbourito is right, this sounds very similar to kyuss, which is great.

I agree too but one can always forget about the plethora of talent that surrounds QOTSA and supports its creeativity, The Gosso king, Dave Catching, Joey Castillo, Troy van Leuwen, Alfredo, brant, Hutch, Natasha Schneider (RIP), Fred drake (RIP), Nick Oliveri, mark lanegan, mario Lalli, Larry Lalli, Scott reeder, Dean Ween, Eagles crue!!! Im not name checking, just reminding ppl that josh is complimented by all these excellent musical talent that makes all these projects and bands great!!

Yeah, I really like it. Fun fact: this is the first song ever recorded by Josh Hommes (the lead singer of QOTSA) under Queens Of The Stone Age.

There is quite a large Qotsa fanbase here. we just have to hide in the shadows and dark places of the world; So that we don't get infected with bieberitis.
