@punkmusicmetal
@punkmusicmetal 6 жыл бұрын
Marcel Riemer if you compare the drum mix to the last 4 albums of theirs, it's lost of a lot of the attack. Especially with Jon Theodore on drums, it's kind of surprising how it sounds. If you listen to any Mars Volta records or even him playing live, he sounds huge and Villians isn't really indicative of what he sounds like
@marcelriemer3696
@marcelriemer3696 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I guess drum-wise that's definitely true. Hope they were just testing the waters and that the drums will be a bit on the heavier side next album. Although if they get a new band member they should be 100% behind them in the first place and not turn them down in the mix or something.

When you type in the band name on KZbin, this is one of the first five results. It has been decided by the people, and the algorithm, that this is an excellent concert. It encapsulates the feel of the band, the tone of their output, and the audience's eagerness. From a nuts and bolts perspective, it rocks. From a musical standpoint, it's the best the band has ever been.

The QOTSA’s greatness is a given, however Natasha’s amazing talent has never been truly realized due the fact that when she and her brother defected to USA N.Y N.Y in 1976, she was very quick to brake into any scene that her abilities (talent ) would take her, even though most of these venues where not recorded in audio or video-Film per sa. It took another ten or so years before main stream recognition started to creep into souls and hearts of the people who had the ability to pay attention, listen and under stand enough to spot someone who was so special. So what eventually happened with Natasha Shneider was a naturally brief Moon shot into greatness. You will always be with us….Yet you are oh! so missed… A personal friend….

Even know the Queens are still such a great rockband: They were on there absolute peak in 2005. There´s so much energy and weird beauty on this stage. They look and sound like a crew of mercenaries from hell picking up an instrument for the first time....I LOVE IT!

What i mean is that i'm sick of people just following blindy everything their favorite artist do and not being able to differ or being objective and that's because no one cares about the music or even anything anymore. Everybody now just try so deseperetly to belong anywhere and get attention and for everybody the only thing that matters in their life is the image that people could ir has about them. My favorite band ever are the melvins and they have been doing just crap for like 6 years now. John Zorn is one of my favorite composers of all time and i just saw a video of him improvising with Yoko ono and it was the most sad and patethic things i've ever serán. People doesn't think anymore. That's what i mean

_The guy is literally beating the ever living shit out of those drums/cymbals. It's hard enough to be that intensely physical through just a couple of songs. I can't imagine playing drums that hard/fast for almost a solid hour!_ *I think Joey Castillo inspired the term 'Beast Mode'. 😮 I doubt I could play that damn hard/fast w/out being heavily under the influence of something (either stoned to the bone or perhaps hopped up on cocaine/meth/Mountain Dew - LOL). 😮*

People used to asked me do I like QOTSA. I always replied ”No, I am a Kyuss guy. “ So far. This is the biggest ‘something magical happened on the stage” and chemistry since I saw Phill Collins, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, and Sting sharing stage in late 80s. This show would worth to release it on a CD with this mix.
