There is no doubt. Im proud of him and not even related. It truly is an amazing interview, no bias. I can only try and relate to my 12 year old self as a 50 year old , and would not even get close to conducting an interview with such a well known musician. Its just a fricken great interview, with genuine interest and passion. Blown away.

I can't lie, I really planned on clicking on the video, seeing if there was any timestamps worth checking out in the comment section and then clicking off. But I started the video as I was making a cup of coffee and before I knew it I had finished my cup of coffee, debating a second cup. I really thought the interview was refreshing and brilliant. If the person interviewing can find a way to keep that child-like enthusiasm and curiosity, even once he becomes an adult, then he could really have a long but wonderful future in this. Its when a person because overly comfortable, jaded even bored with their profession that they lose their charm and become another typical copy-and-paste interviewing style. As long as you can keep that charm then your interviews will never feel dull or predictable. One interviewer who comes to mind, though a wildly different style from yours, is Nardwuar. He just oozes charisma that comes from his absolute love of music, and has artists and interviewing. You can tell he has never lost his passion, and it shows in his interviews. He is held in high regard and is still popular decades later, simply because he never lose that passion and curiousity. I wish you the same in this, or any career you choose later in life! Thanks for a lovely interview. It was fun, informative and just and overall joy. I hope you and anyone who happens to read this has a wonderful and positive day! (Edit) Oh, and I truly appreciate you letting the person being interviewed finish their thoughts and not interuppting them. Those moments are usually when you end up getting the best stuff too. But a lot of people who interview seem to feel the need to rush through questions and try to get these concise answers, and it just makes the interview overly dull. So I admire that you let him sort of go on tangents and get his thoughts out fully before jumping in with a follow up question, or a different question completely. Great job.

This is my 2nd favorite interview with Josh, but my favorite is Josh talking about Josh the person who is also a dedicated musician, which is why it why it stands out (Blocks Podcast by Neal Brennan, if you're interested.). About 20m in, I noticed Josh’s shirt. 😂 What a great interview. The world needs more of this type of interaction. There’s just something so pure about it. I wonder what Logan will think about QotSA’s music 15 or 20 years from now? Reminds me of being a 9 yr old kid, listening to Motley Crue, sending them a pencil drawing of their album cover of Dr. Feelgood. Never got a reply, of course. Didn’t totally understand the meaning behind most of the lyrics. I just loved the sound of Mick Mars’ guitar playing. Now that I’m older, it’s somewhat comical in retrospect given the subject matter at hand and how young I was. But hey, in the end, it’s all about the music. Life will teach you the rest.
