This album got me through the worst time in my life. It started getting released right when I had just about lost it all and had just been released from jail and the psych ward. I was so lost and really lost touch with myself and reality when they first released I Appear Missing and that song was such a gift to my ears. The whole album came out and the songs were just so personal and basically this album was the only friend who understood so to speak. I just want to say thank you for literally saving me. 🖤🖤

Just had a buddy take his life and they played this at his funeral. I wish he had reached out to us and let us know what was going on. If you're struggling, please reaxh out to your friends and family. We would rather you call us at 2am and tell us what's going on than finding you no longer alive in your bedroom. Miss you buddy, hope you found the peace you so desperately needed.

That is sad to hear I am so sorry, and I have had this experience. A suicidal person will push everyone out so they don't care, or the person feels they don't need to be so be aware. Some men can be mean to people for fun, even funny to some, who are not trying the, "buck up" anymore because it is not fun to them or anyone. They say nothing, gone the next day. Recognizing it is hard and when someone takes their own life it is on THEM not YOU but it also might be on US. Before that is even a possibility, all boys need more support. Less drugs, more fishing. More Big Brother energy men.

This album is beautiful. It's interesting how it was brought into my life. I have loved Queens for years. A man came into my life and brought this album with him. He was getting over a past relationship and told me how this album helped him. Basically used me to get over said breakup. As time progressed in the relationship and I realized, I am a bandaid for his agony, I knew I had to get out.. Now....the irony. I listen to this album and this song and a few others on here and the very album he brought into my life is keeping me away from him. Because not everything that goes around, comes back around, ya know. But take him out of the mix, this album is stunning and this song I can relate to for many reasons. We all feel lost at some point and this is now my life preserver. I feel seen, validated and understood by QOTSA.

Everyone it seems Has somewhere to go And the faster the world spins The shorter the lights will glow And I'm swimming in the night Chasing down the moon The deeper in the water More I long for you Most of what you see my dear is purely for show Because not everything that goes around comes back around you know Holding on too long is just fear of letting go Because not everything that goes around comes back around you know One thing that is clear, it's all down hill from here Love line in your hand Cleverly disguised All the promises of stone Crumble in the light Most of what you see, my dear, is worth letting go Because not everything that goes around comes back around you know Holding on too long is just fear of wanting to show Because not everything that goes around comes back around you know Not everything that goes around comes back around you know One thing that is clear, it's all down hill from here

This album is perfect. It's amazing that it turned out so brilliant. It was hard, incredibly brutal to make. It was by no means easy or harmonious. But what these boys made of agony, writers block, disinterest and general hardship is probably the best album of the last 20 years. Art personified.

Fell in love w a narcissist. Shit was so insane at the end that I was like where do I go from here. She stripped me of everything. It was a dark place. I wanted her to be exposed for what she was. How nasty and fucked up she treated me? In the end I went no contact and fell into this album. And this album actually pulled my ass up n out. Amazing what music can do. Thanks qotsa for this album.

There are some really great gems in kyuss' and queens' songs. From one I've always felt was wonderful about drinking wine and screwing (in one iteration and another in each respective band's songs), to "one day when we're far away from everything that hurts" precluding one of the aforementioned. But the one in this song has REALLY stuck with me for so many years.. the love line in your hand / cleverly disguised / all the promises of stone / crumble in the night. I love it deeply because so many romances turn out that way where we or the other person make that promise made of stone only for it to just crumble away later. Very poetic, this album is so close to 'Deaf' as far as musician's ability even though they're incredibly different albums. Thanks for reading.
