@@wolfhaddad7677 very sad indeed. I Recommend his audiobook of Sing Backwards and Weep. He gives several stories of times he had to lay the smackdown.

They say "A picture is worth a thousand words." That face however, was worth 3...thousand. And those words, I feel, were thus: "I....fuckin guess."

The look on Mark's face when dude called him a legend is exactly why, in addition to countless other reasons, as to how & why they just don't make them like Lanegan anymore.

This is about a year after Layne Stayley's death. The interviewer is super ignorant to have asked that question to Mark.

I was there at that show. It was my 15th birthday nd I wanted to see Queens of the stone age so bad nd they didn't disappoint . Audioslave jus came with their 1st album for they're newly formed band. Than I thought 30 second to Mars was a badass new band but not much ppl where they're watching So I saw the lead singer (Jared Leto) talking to a fan I guess nd I walked up to Jared Leto nd we stayed talking about how he came to LA to break into the rock scene and we talked about music nd asked each other back and forward on bands we like nd have you heard of this band. But he was so chill . Than I realized he was in half of fave movies when I went home nd that's where I realized I chilled for at least 45mins or more .

Hehehe! That was fun. Really missing my favourite minstrels right now but I'm beginning to realise there's so much to listen to, I like how the acoustics travel when the clouds are low. I've not bought tickets for Leeds next year although I'm made up about it. I'll be there if it happens. Many Blessings and love always from Manchester, Anglo Isles 🌻

i liked the style back then, the barber shop n steroids look today is not only irritating but prevents me from taking those bands seriously. Most of us werent even in a football team but into partying, weed, Books/Movies and especially and foremost music. It feels like they create a climate in which only GI's are allowed to have record labels.

He perfected the whole miserable vibe, LOL. As a fellow member of the Gen X tribe, it was kinda a thing back in the day to come across as apathetic, bored, miserable, withdrawn, only we never copped to it, or even discussed it. We had a thing about keeping our mouth shut in all things, looking back now in this different world, it wasn't healthy to hold stuff inside but, man, did it make for great music, especially that Seattle crowd, the coolest of the cool
