Possibly one of the most beautiful songs ever written

Funny how you can circle back to a favorite band you haven't listened to in a while; then a song you enjoyed before really hits home for a current life situation/state of mind.

I saw this interview once and Josh was asked the question "what kind of reaction do you hope this album recieves?" He replied that the best reaction would be a "hmph" In other words, he didn't want there to be words that would describe the feeling. That's what this album has done for me to the T. Just straight "#$@^@&%@)__---$5.."

I'm gonna suture up my future I ain't jaded, I just hate it See, I've been down too long It's kinda hard to explain Burned and buried, all I carried All my evil's through a needle As it pulled through the eye What was and what will They're all gone Don't sweat it Thread it, to forget it To feel like you're already gone To the rest of, the rest of the life that you've got Take a picture and bury it all away Bury it all away Try to fake it, I just can't take it I don't care if it hurts Just so long as it's real I won't waste it, I turn to face it I'd sharpen the knife Then used it to bone, made it dull Tried explaining, done explaining Got caught in the plan All this talking at once I've been giving my love away To the things that tear it apart I'm gonna suture up my future Thread it, to forget it To feel like you're already gone To the rest of, the rest of the life that you've got Tie the loose ends and bury it all away It's like this, it's like this

@Stormybandit5 жыл бұрын
I bought this album on the way to Arizona in 2007. I was 18. I quit my jobs, left my boyfriend and was running away with a new boyfriend. He proceeded to ruin my life every time he came into it... Turned my world upside down and called it romance. In 2015 he asked me to marry him and have a million babies with him. I said no, but agreed to a tattoo because "it'll last longer "... It's a rope on my wrist and on his hand.... It symbolizes that we are tied together no matter where we are in life.... A few months after the tattoo something about him was off-putting... I had panic attacks whenever we would talk on the phone... I told him "i dont like you and I don't know why. But you're evil."and I cut ties.. In 2017 he was picked up by homeland security for international distribution and production of child pornography... See, he was the manager of a foster care home... He is a narcissistic psychopath. I am shocked and sickened that they only gave him 8 years in prison for what he did. Here I am, 2019, a stay at home wife to a fantastic man, brand new baby. I am terrified of anyone watching my son. The tattoo is a slap in the face every time I see it in a photo, especially with my son in it... I still have nightmares about him. I finally broke down and told my doctor about it. She told me she would be proud to excise it for me in 2 weeks. I have been listening to this song and crying tears of joy and relief for an hour. This song has come full circle and I am almost free. I. AM. ALMOST. FREE. Thanks for listening. P. S. I hope he gets shanked. The end.

Dave Grohl was only picked up for Songs, while in between recording stuff for FF, so though he was there, he's that super special guest, an honorary Queen, like Mark Lanegan would be. And as for drums on an accoustic set, in the end a decision like that comes down probably to Josh. And he's not lazy, have you not seen them live?
@DatChannel6917 жыл бұрын
