The self-titled album has many excellent tracks. Sidewalks, Mexicola, You can't quit me baby, the Bronze and You would know are my favourites. Even though that is not their best work, it showed to the public what they were capable at the time, and set the expectations to the following work. It is something really impressive to see how their sound has changed through the years without losing quality.

@@sst2592 Pointing out their best work is such a hard question, man. I think there are two contenders for this title: Songs for Deaf and ...Like a Clockwork. The first one is the peak of that desert rock concept, which is great. The second is a hell of display of emotions. But I'm curious: what are your favourite QOTSA album?

@@APAL880 yes... Not a deal breaker, but a really great extra. Mikey Shoes grew on me, tbh. I loved what he did on their last 3 albums. He and Nick are 2 completely different beasts. Love them both.
