This is a collection of videos of Queensland Rail's EMU train taken around the South Eastern Queensland region.
The Queensland Rail EMU was a electric multiple unit suburban train built by Walkers of Maryborough in 1979 to co inside with the opening of Brisbane's suburban train electrification project. 88, 3 car sets were produced over a 7 year period from 1979 to 1986. They have been a mainstay of South East Queensland's suburban rail system.
However the EMU trains are slowly being replaced by the more modern and toilet equipped NGR trains. That being said even today there are still a few in service around Brisbane. The Sun has yet to set on the EMU. The best place to see them today are on Ferny Grove and Beenleigh services.
The footage in this video was taken between 2016 and 2023.
