I love how Pamela Moore does the ghost version of Mary on the lines "can you imagine?"... chills. I'm friends with her on MySpace, she's got such an awesome voice and she's really great to her fans. Spent one evening just chatting with her. She's the best. Geoff and the boys really did good by her, love Queensryche. Operation Mindcrime 3 maybe, if things in this country get worse? Who knows.

OM2 is a great work. It took a couple of times listening to get it. I got it. It's just a different message. How boring it would be if all the songs on any album were all the same. You can't listen to one song. The whole thing is the key. Always a message ;). The OM1 n 2 concert with Pamela was wonderful. Every concert I've been to- ALOT! has been the best! True die hard fan n much respect :)))) thank you for being the band that got me through a lot of crap since late 80's.

When I'm lost... I find a way, I hear voices. I feel them surround me, pull me from the edge I close my eyes and... . and my luck keeps holding strong, even when that boot comes down Waiting for the revolution but there's no one around, except the hands out of nowhere, saving me again There's always something there watching out for me, if I'm suffocating, it gives me air, it gives me air it gives me air, it gives me air, it gives me air Now, I remember, But where I'm going, now I'm not sure Only one thing matters much to me, anymore I'm looking for you, can you imagine? You can't think, can you imagine? You won't find a way this time to frighten me, yeah. You're running scared, can you imagine? Always looking over your shoulder, for a place where you don't see my face But my luck keeps holding so strong, even with the state I'm in. I'm like a revolution of one, even when I stumble I win, except the hands out of nowhere, saving me again There's always something there, watching out for me, if I'm suffocating, it gives me air. I'm like a cat with only a few lives left, and I'm running from the shadows Watching my back waiting for the attack, that I know is coming... I feel it's near, so near There's hands out of nowhere, saving me again There's always something there watching out for me, if I'm suffocating, it gives me air I'm like a cat with only a few lives left and I'm running from the shadows Watching my back, waiting for the attack, that I know is coming, it's near, I feel it's near, so near

This song and album just became more relevant than the original OMC .It is now my #1 album ever we are living like the lyrics say "waiting for a revolution but there's Noone around' "wake up it's all mindrcime'" .Not wanting to get political or offend people but the ones defying orders to liberate are not revolutionaries they are part of the plannedemic so here I exist like Nikki "waiting but there's Noone around .Again i am not a conspiracy theorist but i now am living Nikki's life .Everyone take care of one another be safe and respect one another .

A decent song, but this whole album is just a faint shadow of the brilliance that was Mindcrime. That is still my favorite album of all time, and Queensryche was in it's full glory then. It's unfortunate that this was a poor sequel to that, I really hoped for more.

oh come'on. That latest album Chaos was written by more of the band members than anytime in the past. Wilton praises it and says it is a mix of all of their music. Check the interview. They just weren't into making new music the past ten years and wanted to become a cover band of all their old stuff. QR has always changed it's sound. They have become a classic QR cover now with a cover singer...Todd what's his name. lol

I need to give this album a chance again as I just listened to the first OMC and am still blown away by it. But has anyone noticed that the guitar part in the song “Hands” is the same exact arrangement as the middle part in the song “Empire” right before the solo? I wonder if that was intentional or something… Thoughts anyone?

Stating such things in an interview under pressure from the Tate family is one thing and actually meaning those words is another. I saw an interview when Dedicated To Chaos came out,Wilton said they were really excited and they wrote a lot of stuff for the album but then Geoff had his own vision and all the stuff they wrote initially was not released. It's not a cover band when you have the founding members in it. Rockenfield and Wilton found this band.

You forget how many riffs Wilton has contributed to Queensryche he was always hidden in the Shadows of De Garmo and Tate. De Garmo and Wilton's chemistry was a big role in Queensryche's sound. Geoff has written some great stuff but a lot of it was co written with De Garmo and Wilton.

released in regards to the court case. There is plenty of weight and clear cut answers as to why Geoff Tate is no longer with Queensryche. I am totally with the band on this and since Scott Rockenfield and Michale Wilton made this band and have co written so much stuff for Queensryche in the glory days including "Promised Land",my support goes for them. This band has finally got the chemistry,the vibe,and the joy back in them. We can agree to disagree and that's fine. But just have a look at

Wilton even said all his parts for Mincrime 2 were not on the album the producer and outside writer Geoff was working with played all the guitar parts and he used the band as session musicians. These type of things have been going on for a while and the band was forced to do a lot of things since the Tate family took over,what was once one of the most democratic and creative bands of all time. Go read and research you'll find all your answers. Take care and I look forward to the new album.Peace

Did you read up on the entire case? I am not naive at all but there are certain situations as to what happened and why things have been the way they are for so long. This band was not formed by Tate he came in later. Indeed back in the days all the members contributed as a band. And it wasn't about "My way or the highway" and "You'll play what I tell you to play and just forget about being creative I have my own team of writers" and making an Operation Mindcrime movie without consulting the band
@FreeMTrider12 жыл бұрын
Actually it's a he said he said situation. There are reputable sources that state the exact opposite. That no one was showing up to work. They were busy with side projects and left incomplete sections that wouldn't work. So you haven't commented on anything with the Chaos album? Wilton and the rest had a ton of input on it and everyone says it's crap. Who's fault is that? Geoff's?
@SanityAssassin14 жыл бұрын
@Virini yeah, but it paraphrases ~ a 20 year span
@FreeMTrider12 жыл бұрын
Ok if you believe they are that easily influenced you're very naive. I know the history of this band very well and have seen and met them on the first tour. Geoff made this band and if if isn't working out, then so be it, but don't blame him when there are four other members that have input. QR would have never been anything in the beginning and change is what made them a success. If they put out a typical metal release, It won't work.

Glad queensryche are continuing without Geoff. As much as I used to love him as a musician and vocalist,it's sad what he became. The papers prove it,he made this band in to a dictatorship. Actually when you get session players and outside writers to work with you and shun your band from the writing process,then the band is actually non existent. Finally it's Queensryche's rebirth and they will come with an epic album again.
@Aesop879 жыл бұрын
I think this is an epic, classic-sounding Queensryche song on an otherwise forgetful album. It's as if the writers (who largely were NOT the band members) said "OK we gave the fans a 'classic QR song that has that Mindcrime-era feel', now onto the next evolution for the rest of this recording". Which, as we know from the crappy albums that followed (Dedicated To Chaos, anyone) this crappy album, turned out to be the beginning of the end for the Geoff-led era of the Reich.

+James Cain I must agree. I was hiking the Appalachian Trail when I got an email from a friend of mind saying he won a prize package from a radio station that contained a promo copy of Mindcrime II and he wanted to give me the CD since he knew I was a major Ryche fan. So I hurried my hike to get back home only to be utterly disappointed. Even DIO sounded awful. It was definitely a crime to follow a timeless epic album with piss poor material on the sequel. Mindcrime II & Hear in the Now Frontier are definitely at the bottom of the stack of my Ryche CDs.

I still don't have this album. But I think it's time. Operation Mindcrime was such a phenomenal album that eclipsed all other concept albums before it. (And absolutely predicted the Antifa movement from 2017-now). It was time to revisit this story and it's a good thing they did it before the bad blood with Tate.
@immortalsoloist12 жыл бұрын
As far as covering is concerned,I think you don't know they are working on a new album with some seriously solid material. It's not easy to figure how things have been for a while,the live peroformances display an unhappy band,the material has been weak on quiet a few albums,Geoff Tate involving outside writers and producers in a bunch of albums. He also completely shut out the band from the creative process. Like Mindcrime 2,that album didn't even have any contribution from the band members.
