I agree. Queensryche wrote this during the Reagan years. I wonder if they feel the same now.

THE VOICE GEOFF TATE

By listening to this performance and comparing it to the studio version, you can tell the band members didn't play on this song except Geoff Tate, Mike Stone and probably, Eddie Jackson.

How in the world were these guys ever Lumped into the “hair band “ category? I mean they were straight up hard rock verging on Metal or vice versa . Lyrically WAYYY more mature and thought provoking than 99% of their contemporaries. Nothing cheesy about this band in any facet . Mature writers and performers. Chris Degarmo and Michael Wilton were such an awesome combo with Chris leading the way , nobody sounded like these fellas . Uniquely themselves

This song is not bad as many people say. The fact that the drums are MIDI programmed just make this song sound horrible

I believed that after Promised Land Queensrÿche ceased to exist after reading reviews from metal magazines that their later albums are below mediocrity. Thankfully I changed my mind when I heard Q2k and Tribe which are excellent albums. Hear now is also a nice album recorded at a very difficult time for the music industry

They are so great. I remember when I first heard their music. It pumped me full of life. June 1993 Highway 91 going to Las Vegas from LA. They never got old. Hands down , they are 1 of the all-time top 5 bands in the world. Clean music and vocals. It's like magic how they all are so perfectly blended. It doesn't get much better. His voice rivals any top rock band by far. I wish we could roll back 30 years. I would go to every concert, for sure.

I was deployed when this came out😢. Most will never know that feeling that comes with holding that child of a Fallen Soldier or handing them The Folded Flag. That is something that sticks with you forever.

This was such a great album! It wasn't the original, true, but it was still fantastic in its own way. Sad that it didn't get the respect it deserved.
