I have such fond memories of the road to Glenorchy (by car, in my case!) almost 7 years ago. I stopped the video at one point to go pick the picture I had of almost the exact same viewpoint, and it brought me a lot of joy. Thanks for sharing this great series, it makes me day-dream as I patiently work towards getting a motorcycle license (as a hobbyist photographer, the combination of road trip and beautiful pictures is magic to me)

Another great video. I'm picking you were here in March with the timing of the berries, I hooked into a dose while on a camp. That would tie up with when I reckon I saw you. Good news is I got my stolen bike back 5am Tuesday. Have to figure out how to get the ugly black paint they sprayed all over the mint plastics without destroying them. Got a new set of locks on the way because two are gone and the third stopped them being able to fill the tank. Impressed with the fuel economy though as the tank was about 80% full and it covered 300km while it was away. The next mission will be to get the fuel cap off with the wrecked lock. Now I guess they're just posh regular hotels. 1:47 For breakfast, I always carry a pack of raw oat muesli with me, with lots of nuts & dried fruit in it, and a small plastic bowl, and soak half a cup in hot water the night before, then add yoghurt in the morning. 2:00 Hair by helmet! Enjoying the series. However, the music is a bit too loud at times. Respectfully

The CEAT tyres that come on the bike, nothing has been upgraded or changed on either bike.

@@freewayproject what tyre you recomend for a 300cc adventure bike(like CRF 300 rally)

@@IvysSSousa If you were mainly dirt and more technical, rocky, steeper, I have used Dunlop 605D front and back, great grip, cheeper than most but they want last that long on sealed roads. The heidenau K60 SCOUT are great for 50/50 dirt and road, from what I have experienced

I love Fergburgers, but they weren’t rated as the best by Lonelyplanet. Kiwis love exaggerating 😅

It seems it must be good to still have that many people waiting, someone suggested to get delivery instead of waiting in line, maybe that's the smart option.

As a kiwi who has done these places hundreds of times, I cringe at the commentary of a fella seeing it from Ozzy eyes with a pommie tour guide, such as the drive is so long, walking is the shortcut! Laughed my arse off at that one. Clearly talking through a hole in his head as we like to say round here.

We are obviously not experts like you are who has ridden these rides hundreds of time, just two hackers enjoying exploring New Zealand, there was more nuance to the comment, obviously he wasn’t being literal, just emphasising the point which people watching would pick up on. Seeing you are the expert it would be great to add a link to your channel so people can get the expert details if they need them. I hope you enjoy watching two hackers exploring your trails but I am sure you would have way more fun out there than us.

Not really enjoying the commentary sorry, as stated I cringe. But as always my country is stunning, the photogenic nature of its landforms and light make it ripe for the camera. No interest in exploiting the place for a KZbin channel either. I prefer to just ride and take it all in. There were no subtle nuances if he knew what he was talking about. The Routeburn track is a three day tramp. Riding your bike around Lake Wakatipu to Key Summit carpark from track start takes four hours, so the comment about walking is quicker made me laugh my arse off. So sorry you do what you do well but from a 'natives' perspective it just made me cringe. Safe travels.
