I had a Professor at my University change all of my grades when I wrote a paper debunking voter ID and racism (I genuinely wanted to prove it was alive and well, and then the data suggested otherwise). I wrote a paper on how the data suggested voter ID is not racist, and she said she didn't agree with my paper choice and lowered all my grades. She uploaded an altered syllabus at 2am in the morning and luckily I saved EVERYTHING and brought it to the department chair. They fixed my grades but this woman kept her job. I then wrote my thesis on the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan (how it went wrong across the board), and my Professor was a Baghdadi native and graded my paper highly as he saw the value and the truth. He saw my facts supported my thesis. That's how professors need to teach. Teach the facts, not feelings.

So I've just finished ploughing through Butler's "Gender Trouble", the whole second section of it is devoted to trying to argue that prohibiting incest is the same as the prohibiting of gay relationships was as they are both non-normative. She even appears to be saying that the prohibition of incest is somehow injurious to the children in question. The whole "gender performatitvity" thing takes up three paragraphs at the end of the final section. Make of it what you will.

The people who will scream homophobe, and when asked why they made the connection between homosexuality and pedophilia on their own, just scream homophobe even louder. Humorless twats, the whole lot. It's very similar to the "debate" on abortion. Naomi Wolf (the critically acclaimed "spokesperson of third wave feminism"), Dr. Bernard Nathanson (founder of NARAL, preeminent expert on abortion as a medical procedure who wrote most of the books from firsthand experience performing them), Jane Roe (of a small little insignificant case most people have never heard of, called "Roe vs Wade") herself. Go look at what they actually had to say about the topic of abortion. The champions of the movement are against what it has become, but to point that out "just proves you hate women." A sobering glimpse of reality: if you want to see where the debate on queerdom is going to end up, look at where the debate on abortion is. Based on established precedent, over the next fifty years we're eventually going to get to the point where pedophiles get preferential treatment in hiring (especially in day care, primary education, pediatrics, and politics), it will be illegal to discriminate against them for their sexual preferences ("what they do in private in the classroom has no bearing on whether they can teach students"), and schools will be pulling children who report being sexually abused aside for counseling -- to deal with their rampant and unacceptable pedophobia, how dare they victimize and shame innocent adults for violently raping them.

The problem there being that this man's assertions have nothing to do with the truth - that's why he's so reliant on his game of jeopardy, because he needs to be popular with the crowd for them to take him on his word. He's being polite but I would have loved him to ask why certain people in the crowd are defending paedophilia. I especially loved the moment when he pointed out how it was the people in the crowd who were linking homosexuality and paedophilia. That was a nice little hit, but it'll fall on deaf ears as the people shouting are completely invested in queer theory. It's a cult like any other and questioning a cult members beliefs will cause an angry response. It reminds me of the videos where people debated scientologists. They start accusing people of awful crimes because they are trained to do that. It's a method cults use to stop individual members from thinking, it basically short-circuits their brains and they repeat a script.
