I think it's funny the closest to "496" someone got at 18:30 was "like 325", which is 171 off. Literally 100*6=600 is only 104 off, thus almost twice as close to the number, while being wildly off and only using the 2 closest digits lmao The closest I got in the short window was "6-1=5, 100*5 = 500, 500-3 = 497". There are a couple others I see that are 1 off, but that was the simplest one

yep, but that’s not what you see in the video! behind the scenes was really janky, but mainly we just used a website (james stanley’s countdown game via incoherency.co.uk) and modified it a bit. everything else in the video is just editing magic, and was make “from scratch” (taking heavy inspiration from the actual countdown set, obviously). the only other things gameplay wise that was external to the site was that i had to manually keep score, and that i had a preset conundrum

I'm only 5 minutes in, but not only is "Ardors" not in the dictionary, it also uses the letter "R" twice, which is against the rules anyway since there was only one "R" in the word bank. Cool that they knew the word "Ardor," but easily wrong for misusing the characters, let alone if it is a valid word in the first place lol

never heard of gay people not being able to spell or do math, as a gay man i was the top 10 of my class for english and grammar during standardized testing and i took a lot of my college math classes my senior year of high school. something i do have going against me is that i can’t speak, my school gave up on trying to fix my speech impediment when i was 13 and i tend to kind of say scrambled nonsense instead of coherent sentences.

That was a great solution for 156! Mine was 75-25 = 50, 4-1 = 3, 3*50 = 150, 150+6 = 156. The other method was solid too!

it takes time to do that stuff, i can’t just churn out content like a robot, much to my dismay not only do i have college classes to deal with, i also have to write scripts and then record audio, and then edit before finally uploading. your idea isn’t forgotten! i am planning on doing it because i really like it! it’s just that this stuff takes time and i only want to work on one project at a time for the sake of my sanity
