I still remember when I won the Need Roll on Quel'Delar's hilt drop on my pally back in the day, I even screenshotted it and everything. It was such an awesome moment for me, especially after having done the quest chain on the PTR servers before the content came out.

I'm 1 of the few people I knew who actually went thru the entire quest chain to obtain this sword. It might be only I-lvl 100 these days, but it's still an awesome, gorgeous blade to this day. It rest quietly in my storage now. I will NEVER get rid of it.

I got this back in WotLK on my warrior and wasn't sure about using it or selling it. It was worth around 15k back then, which is probably around ~200-300k today. In the end I did the quest myself and was so proud that I got the sword together with the Shadowmourne pre-quest weapon. Man, good times.

I got two and did both options aha, at the time, it was a very good wep! it was better than T2 PVP s7 wep (2.2k 3v3) It soon got out classed with ICC weps, but was a very good start at the 3.3.5a patch

Just a note, when you do this, you unlock all the appearances for it no matter if the character the quest was done on can actually wield it.

I remember getting this sword for my blood elf mage back in the day. I randomly found it during ICC and ended up running this questline knowing nothing about it or the legendary weapon I'd get from it lol thanks for the walk down nostalgia lane :)

When I was 12 I remember getting the Battered Hilt within 48 hours of 3.3's release and was (afaik) one of the very first people in my realm to have Quel Delar. I love that sword.

Given how rare this drop is, i actually found it as a world drop in Icecrown. Is it ironic that the character that found it was a Belf DK? Anyway, i enjoyed the quest chain immensely, folllowing the lore. When i learned about the twin, i then spent 3 months farming Onyxia to obtain Quel'Serrar so that i could dual wield them as transmogs with my DK who was Frost spec. These videos are great nostalgia for me. Legendary content

I completed this quest chain back in wrath on my lvl 80 human DK, I remember saving all my gold from dailies, mining for titanium, or in those days soloing MC and AQ20 as a blood DK before they down scaled bosses to drop less gold. I bought the hilt for less than 10k gold, I think it was 8.7k which was really cheap. This video brings back a lot of memories and even a lot of parts I forgot over the years. Thanks.

maybe not a epic weapon, but BC Lohn'goron, Bow of the Torn-Heart is an amazing quest chain for what is, and one of the coolest bow models in the game to this day, if you get an urge to go back to BC content. Great job with all your stuff man, peace.

I actually found this back in wrath playing around my paladin. I clicked and initiated the quest without really knowing anything. Regardless, I don’t regret it at all. My main weapon during the raids in ICC for my ret paly.

I was a High Elf in Vanilla named Blazedrogue. Baked most raids i was still the class leader and one of the top DPS for Ostralyan Pain on Smolderthorn. Good times and some of the best memories a gamer could ask for.

I've done the quest line back in MoP, but I didn't realise the drop was so low. When I started playing again in Legion, I was really confused to see Lightborn Spire in my mog tabs, since it's been a long time and back then the current transmog system wasn't in the game. Still, it was a really awesome quest chain that I still remember, even if not completely. It totally looks cool with my warlock mog :) Can't wait for it to drop again and make some money for myself tho

lore wise Quel'delar is own by Blood Knight Matriarch Liadrin, Quel'Serrar obtainable but from level 80 Onyxia and if you have remake of weapon version it, you can transmog it on level 60 player cause of leveling scaling in 7.3.5

Back when I still played WoW, I used to farm the Pit of Sarron and we always cleared out the mobs hoping the hilt would drop. It was insane how many people wanted that hilt and I was devastated when I couldn't get it a single damn time. At some point people weren't interested in those dungeons anymore so my hopes of getting the hilt back then died out along with people's interest in going there.

I remember being a blood dk tank starting raiding when ICC was already out, and only having the basic ToC set (koltiras, tier 9?) and desperately needing some ilvl boosts and farming for this weapon before starting ICC. I saw the drop 3 or 4 times before I ever got it, and I used it myself instead of selling it on the AH for the massive amounts of gold I could have gotten. I finally completed the long quest line and started ICC and within 2 weeks of ICC I got citadel enforcer's claymore off the first boss and no longer used quel'delar. I was kicking myself for not having sold the damn thing and for doing the long quest line. Still a cool experience nonetheless.

I have the Golden Bow of Quel'thalas, which is my favorite bow by far. I don't know exactly how it fits in the lore but it sounds good to me. Thanks for your videos dude. Your voice is better than "rain on a roof" for relaxation. Keep it up.

Yeah, I remember getting the stat stick version on my hunter back in the day. Wrath really amped up the epicness of quest chains. I still vividly remember this whole thing. Sure, everyone and their brother had it at the time, but I thought it was cool because it was the first in-depth quest chain I followed through on since getting the paladin epic mount back during BC.

The handle dropped for my shaman back then. I was a bit disappointed that I only got a surrogate weapon instead of the sword itself, because I didn't know shamans could not use swords at all,yet. But the questline was great and I enjoyed it so much in fact, that I saved up the gold to get another handle for my death knight, so I could properly wield the sword!

Quel'serrar was one of my favorite weapons that I had back then, I wanted this thing more than anything so I could duel wield them. Never got around to it though, unfortunately. Might try again someday if retail interests me at any point in the future.

Perfect Artifact Weapon questline :) It's easy to think that Blizzard might have gotten the Artifact Weapon Quests idea from Quel'delar. It's a shame this blade was not a Legendary back in the day, it would have made an excelent weapon for Legion.

I got the hilt on my first run of the dungeon. Everyone rolled on it and I had no idea what it was. I was last to roll, and won it. I later found out it was extremely rare, and then I went on the quest chain to obtain the sword for my warrior. Good times :)

The Battered Hilt dropped for me twice during WotLK. Sold it both times for ~1.5-2k cause Cata was around the corner. Bought two goblin motorcycles with the money :p I remember that was probably the luckiest i had got in my life to win it twice.

i had that orange 2h mace for my feral tank from the battered hilt because its model is unique and looks awesome. ever since transmog came out i use that mace on every 2h class.
