@Ben Woodcock I felt like no matter what Rick would have taken care of him for saving his life. When Rick goes to see Cliff in the ambulance - I felt like he communicated as much when he says "You're a good friend" this was a genuine and vulnerable recognition just between the two of them. I just realized that was a callback to when Al Pacino's character says the same thing in the beginning to Rick about Cliff for driving him around, but we think it's because he's the cash cow for Cliff so he has to - I actually love the bond these two share - very wholesome friendship.

Rick does not even want to accept the truth about him defends him to Zoe and Kurts characters who don't even want him on set he's a trouble maker too.

@Ray Of Disintegration | Creature Features you are aware that films do not always follow novels to the letter, right? I'd suggest reading, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" and then watch Blade Runner. Or Kubrick's genius masterpiece "The Shining" and compare it to King's quaint little ghost story of the same name. A film is a completely different thing than a novel. In the film, there is only one human who knows if Cliff killed his wife... Cliff Booth. Alternately, you might want to consider that all of the characters are fantasy. Yes there is the Natalie Wood tragedy and in that reference we again have no earthly idea how she died. You and I and millions of others posting comments on YT videos have no earthly idea about the details of her death....just speculation.

In the Dalton-verse: As an actor who did a lot of work in TV Westerns, Rick Dalton had to be acquainted with Gene Rodenberry and his circle of actors. I love this! The best part about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is the same thing that was great about The Man Who Would Be King, at their heart, both films are really about the inseparable nature of the friendships of the main characters. This is true, despite the professional separation near the ending of Once Upon a Time, which feels like it was reprieved anyway by the subsequent action, and all the consequences of that now laid out here confirm it. I think it'd be cool for Tarentino to make/produce a Netflix (or Amazon or AppleTv or something) series of like eight, 45 minute episodes that are these Rick Dalton movies. Make "The Fireman" a three parter but separated by other movies (episodes) in between. Have different directors on some episodes so He's not pushing all the work, and also to give it different perspectives (like any other actor's catalogue of films done by different directors). That would be a really cool project!
